Henderson. He's played 117 games, and I reckon atleast 90 of them have been average at best. He was young when he came to Carlton, so he was excused for average performances. He's not young anymore, so I'm not sure what his excuse is. He's tall, is athletic enough, but does very little.
I'm not sure what it would take to get him, but I question whether he is worth going after. Not for me he's not.

So we are Getting Treloar and 1 of Aish/Henderson/Carlisle?
Treloar is looking good, the other 3 are speculative at this point.

Don't get your hopes up on any of them yet Dave. We don't want a repeat of your dummy spit about Clark last year!

I have no hopes up yet. As you Pointed out. Got Burned by the Mitch Clark Media Reports.

I wait to Trade Period Starts and when Trade is Confirmed

In all fairness though, Clark should have come to us. I had a uni class with Jack Trengrove last year, and he seemed fairly certain that clark would come to us too.
He was 100% about Lumumba, and got that correct.

And the irony of all that is that Varcoe has been a revelation. Varcoe and Crisp and in the top handful of recruits this year IMO.

Wellingham, Thomas, harry

We were happy to move Wellers on (combination of salary cap, homesickness, and off field issues) ,not fussed that Thomas left for the money he was offered (especially given his flippant attitude to recovery from injury) and relieved that Harry and his high maintenence was to become somebody elses problem

Goes to show that sometimes things can work out for the best. Clark has been ok this year, but has had injury issues on and off. Considering how down most of us were on recruiting Varcoe last year, he's turned out to be the pick of the three players involved in that deal :rainbow:

2 out of those 3 would be really pushing it. Depending on who is leaving and what we can get in return.
Henderson is a unconfirmed rumour. Scrap that one for now. Wouldn't even know his asking price.
Carlisle would still have WADA hanging above his head. How many banned players do we want on our list? He would so anything to get away from the Bombers, wouldn't want entering a bidding war seeing that we got....
Aish where we are up against Carlton who got serious coin to spend.

If carlisle came there would be a banned player cause in his contrCt something about not having to pay or something similar.
We couldnt be that dumb or any club for that matter

I'd be really disappointed to lose Shaz as it seems the club rate him very highly but if he asked to go back to SA I can't see any reason why we then couldn't land Carlisle and Treloar.

You would think that the Crows or Port would give up their first rounder for him. Crows may also have the Danger FA compo pick to offer up.

Pies on trade that pick to Essendon for Carlisle. Even the stubborn trading Bombers would be crazy not to take a top 15 pick for Carlisle in there current state wouldn't they? That pick would be better than the Dogs or Hawks could offer at the trade table at the moment.

We can then use our own first rounder this year and 2nd pick next year (plus maybe a player as steak knives) to land Treloar. Which is very similar to the the Beams deal last year.

We then need to pass on Aish. The Blues can have him. I've liked him since before his draft but a player like Carlisle is more important to our structures than a good outside ball user who has had a massive case of the second year Blues.

Fitting Treloar and Carlisle into the cap may be the biggest hurdle.

So we lose Pick 1 2015, Shaz, Pick 2 2016 and a steak knives player
We gain Treloar, Carlisle, we retain our first pick in 2016 (which is hopefully a stronger draft) and we hold onto big Wittsy (who has been floated as a bargaining tool).

We may also be able to land an additional 2nd rounder for this year via the trading of a Seedsman to Brisbane or Sydney.

Could not agree any more. Treloar and Carlisle have to be our number 1 targets. If it means missing out on Aish then so be it.

I reckon we can pull all 3 off.

Carlisle in a deal involving Jarrod Witts moving (if he does that is), Aish for next years 2nd rounder and steak knives, and Treloar for first and second round draft pick this year.
