Maynard.

He's better than De Goey and Greenwood too.
So Crisp plays on the backline replacing Maynard, team balance?

I'd prefer to get games into DeGoey. Greenwood hasn't had a good run at it this season.

Cant fit everyone in or please everyone.

Ramsay and/or Sinclair should get a spot in the backline. And Blair up forward.

No, crisp in the midfield, Varcoe takes Maynards spot in defence.

I was at the Swans game on Friday night and whom did I see sitting in the crowd... None other than Adam Trelor
I assume he wasn't like the younger Jakovic years ago who was seen at the footy eating pies hotdogs etc

Good, he would have spotted that there's a starting position in our midfield for him, especially judged on our midfield's performance on Friday night.

There's no semantics about it, drafting a player then trading him 2 years later for a lower draft pick is not massive value, or anywhere even remotely close.

Considering his injuries it would probably be a "fair" trade, but with his potential we would be getting screwed.

Its only lower because of relative ladder postions of Coll and Adel at the time. Pick 6 or 10....same same as a general rule. Its semantics as to whether or not you define that as "massive". Considering how his stocks have fallen in theory at least given his output in two years...holding his trade value would be a win

I have changed my tune on Carlisle. I do want us to go after him but only at the right price.

It wont be Frost that he will be replacing, it will be Brown.

I love Nathan Brown and he has been great for us through out his career but he is turning 27 this year and he is starting to look really slow and almost cooked.

I am not keen on trading him because he will be good depth but from 2016 I doubt he should be considered a certain starter every game. Same goes for Toovey.

Two posters with club contacts have seperately said that we are interested in Carlisle, and he is interested in us. By no means a done deal, but the club would be silly not to pursue a player of his quality if he is interested in joining the club.
I've seen Beeg post on Carlisle. Any chance of a link to the other post? (or at least let me know who the poster was and what thread it was in if known)

If we got Carlisle, it would come down to Brown and Frost fighting for the one spot. Selection would be based on form, and at this stage Brown has the edge on Frost.

'twas the illustrious Scodog10, probably in this thread. He indicated that the club had shown an interest in recruiting Carlisle.

For those interested or who also missed one or more of below:

Had some info passed onto me that Carlise has approached Collingwood about playing with us very keen

I have given some pretty good info on this board previously I'm not going into sources but this is legit

I was very surprised he approached us not the other way around

Because it came from the horses mouth. That was 8-10 weeks ago though so things can and may very well change. I think the move of Reid forward has also been an indication of our confidence in Carlisle being over the line (you watch him come out and re-sign tomorrow hah).

As to the latter Sponge no idea myself. Of all the posters on Bigfooty I would be right up there with the most uninformed on that whole saga.

Not as convinced on it being Witts, but I'm still reasonably confident that Carlisle will be at Collingwood in 2015.

So the big potentials (based off the bigger rumours thus far) - Henderson, Carlisle, Treloar, Aish.
Does that put us in contention next year if all came true?
