Obviously Freeman raised the issue of opportunity and raised the recruitment of Treloar as pushing him back in the pecking order and he probably also raised Aish in the same light. As Aish has not nominated anyone the club probably denied it. Its none of Conners or Freeman's business and in trying to retain Freeman and get him to sign, we would naturally deny it.

Freeman should worry about getting onto the park before complaining about limited opportunity. Sounds to me he does not have any confidence in his own abilities so that makes me wonder why he is asking for so much cash.

Could it be that he knows his life as a footballer is diminishing before his very eyes and he needs to take the cash whilst he can.

Yea we'll get someone else, not sure who though. We're going to have 7+ list changes with the following people gone;

Dwyer
Freeman
Seedsman
Karnezis
Thomas
Keeffe
Young
Probably Gault
Possibly Oxley and Kennedy

Then we'll add Treloar, 3-4 players in the ND and Frost will probably get elevated. Which leaves another spot or 2 to recruit someone from another club

Doesn't Howe just jog around each week, average 12 touches and 1 hanger? How is that worth $600k? If we could get him for a pick in the 40s, and pay him $250k,then sure, go ahead. But not for stupid money, and a high draft pick.

I doubt he's going to leave Port. He would be such a great fit though. Put him on the wing and he will destroy teams for us.

Definitely met with him a at least twice but last reports were he wanted too much cash. Rumored to be unhappy playing defense and not overly happy with the direction.

I am not keen, like most however there was not a lot of love for Varcoe last year and that worked out really well.
