Doubt he'd come back and agree with the sentiments. Just can't think of a ready made forward who is cheap. I think we need someone now whilst Moore develops. We really don't have too many options as far as a second key fwd goes.
Probably because there is no such thing. Usually if they're cheap, they're no good. Or if they're good, they're not cheap.

No, we should just have a tanty, what's available is immaterial.

Watching the combine on foxtel
Who's this Mitchell Hibberd? Tested pretty well

Gotta start thinking of the points rather than the actual picks. I.e. Pick 1 = 3000.
Pick 7 = 1644
Pick 26 = 729
Pick 44 = 362, etc.
To give this years pick 7 and 26 for treloar = 2373 points which is equivalent to between a pick 2 & 3, which could be slightly overs for treloar, not to mention 2 second round picks for Aish being equivalent to a top 10 pick....?

I think it is important that we hold our nerve in the trades we are involved.
Even if it means us waiting until next Monday to complete the Treloar deal.
All good things come to thoes who wait.

Oh wow...

What the hell are you on about?

In fact don't worry about it.

Me thinks Witts and Seedsman might be packaged to Eade at the Suns for the juicy first rounder they are getting for Dixon. Any thoughts on what other picks might be involved if this was the case?

What shits me is that Kennedy has potential at it but he's never played once at either AFL or VFL level as a genuine forward pocket. Zero development at the position for our "Krakouer replacement".

Faz and Elliott are much better small fwds, so he's been forced to find a game as a mid.

I believe that's that has been communicated between Collingwood and Brisbane and Collingwood have not disputed Brisbane's demands.
Most people on this boards would agree that we should part with a 1st rounder, but not a top 10 pick

Right, I think a top 20 pick is fair, and I think BL are expecting as much given they just got pick 17 for Redden and didn't mutter a word.

The deal is very doable, but we need to get Treloar done ASAP so we can work on other deals.

Howe is keen on Suns. Perhaps Kenno to Melb, Howe to Suns and pick 22 to us. Perhaps some additional later pick swaps.

Where did you read/hear Howe is keen on Suns?

I get the feeling we're going to swoop on Howe once Treloar is done, trade Kennedy to Melb, probably some steak knives added.

North and GCS have tabled offers, if Howe hasn't nominated either by COB tomorrow, I reckon he's ours.

Sauce is saying we will fold a bit.

Treloar for first round 2015/16 & we get Finlayson (apparently Rendell rates him as a Gunston type or mid) & their 2015 second rounder & 2016 3rd.

Is this genuine or just tomato sauce?

I think the delay will be that Collingwood is struggling with which future pick it wants to commit? If they give this years 7 and next years second , we cannot use next years first for Aish. However, if we can trade Seedsman or Freeman for an Early 20's pick, that could be added to the 7 of this year and we could still use, if we so desire Aish badly next years first on him. I think we planned all along for it to be this years first and next years second but Brisvegas stance may have forced a different strategy. Further, as much as I like Aish, I think we should call their bluff , and commit 22, Seedsman pick from GCS, in the National draft to him if he gets through, which it think he will. Leaving Brisbane empty handed

Points only relevant if you have F/S or academy players to select.

I don't think the points are really relevant to fans.

They are relevant to clubs only as an artificial scale for F/S and Academy picks.

How clubs actually rate picks when it comes to trading would vary significantly between clubs, and between draft years.

I would be quite happy with that trade... but surely they wouldn't be throwing in 3 extra pieces to upgrade from our 2nd to 1st round pick?

We pretty much definitely have to give up our 2015 1st rounder.
We are probably offering our 2016 2nd, and they probably want our 2016 1st.... which leaves the room for negotiation, and maybe some swapping of late picks to make it all work.
