Terry Wallace just stated on trade radio that you can in fact trade out both 1st and 2nd future picks but you can't trade out future round picks in two consecutive years.

Can somebody confirm?

If that's the case, then:

GWS Gain: 2015 1st rounder, 2016 2nd rounder
Brisbane Gain: 2016 1st rounder
Collingwood Gain: Adam Treloar, James Aish

Simple

He is wrong. If you trade a future first rounder you can't trade any more picks from that same draft.

Could you link me to the rule listed on the AFL website?
No disrespect but I keep hearing this yet no-one can provide an actual source of truth.

Dont think Buckleys tweet is a great sign on any front, would you subtly (at the same time obviously) give other clubs a clip when trying to negotiate the best possible deal?

Bit like Leppa's tweet from last year which we all hated.... Wouldn't be surprised if it's deleted soon.

I know I'm probably gonna get some hate, but terry Wallace actually does make sense about the Saints trading problems:

Saints lose: pick 5
Gain: freeman and Carlisle

Pies lose: freeman
Gain: pick 25

Bombers lose: Carlisle and melksham
Gain: pick 5

Dees lose: pick 25
Gain: melksham

Seems fair.

anyone else see this Twitter from Buckley. " Bravo to Geelong and Adelaide handling the Dangerfield trade. Professional, respectful to the player and win/win for each club "

bit of A " backhanded " slap to GWS and Brisbane one would think

We getting reemed, Saints and Bombers big winners.

It's a game of chess this whole trading business.
We're waiting to hear from Dees what they'll accept from us for Howe, is it a straight swap or picks?
GWS and Brisbane might've agreed to picks but they want the highest we can get.
We're trying to get the best offer from Gold Coast, (Seedy) & Saints, (Freeman) so we know whether it's pick 19, 23 or 25 or whatever bloody number they are.
Meanwhile Kennedy, Seedsman, Freeman an Howe can't do or say anything.
Can't understand why we haven't got Treloar yet.

No hate here.
More likely to do straight swap with Melbourne for Howe/ Kennedy if we assist them in the melkshem trade.

Not a great idea. Just a good way to get their backs up further. Similar to the smartarse comment he made about the "Dayne Beams" midfield which came across as rubbing Brisbanés nose in it. As funny and accurate as it might have been, bet he wishes he never made that comment now.
