CONFIRMED TRADE

collingwoodfc trades picks 34, 53, 63 to @GWSGIANTS for picks 27, 66, 77 and 84.

edit : confirmed on an earlier page.
34 to 27 = win for us, laughs at Aish pick downgrade
63 to 66 = win for GWS, no difference to us as GWS hold the picks in between
53 to 77 + 84 = win for GWS, win for us as our last pick won't be 101. Also offsets 27 for 34

my source tells me that collingwood have allready cast their eye on cameron, we should be able to by the time we are ready to trade future picks once again

Derick and the Pies identified a need in the middle to help pendlebury and swanny out we had kept treloar and aish in the loop it's great to see we identified a need and went out and got it better ball used and X Factor in the forward line well done dekka

% chance Rioli lasts till 27?

I've just run it through my forecasting software: 18.76% chance of him being available. Coincidentally, it's exactly the same % chance of him becoming a quality AFL player. Which means that there is a 3.51% chance of him becoming a quality player with us.

I hope that he does. I just think that perhaps the name " Rioli " might inflate his position a little bit
I think you're right. His name is almost certain to inflate his value, so if he's available at our pick he's probably not worth it. I'll trust Hine and co to make the right choice there and pick based on ability not name recognition. Glad to have pick 27, can definitely get something decent there especially when you factor in half a dozen or so academy players going earlier. We get something like the 21st chance to pick an available player.

and a win in that GWS/Pies were still talking after the AT deal went through.

We will only take 2 picks in draft (plus a delisted free agent). List of 38 plus 6 rookies. Need a kpp at pick 27

Can someone explain the Aish trade to me? I've been at work, and it looks like we've been stooged.
In a nutshell we gave up 26, 28 and the 2016 2nd we got for Freeman for Aish and 34(?). We then ontraded the pick in the 30's to GWS with some late junk picks to get pick 27 and some later junk picks.

At the end of the day we got him with 2 second rounders as a net loss. It was a good deal.

There's a very low percentage chance of Matt liking that post.

we gave up a second this year and next and moved down a couple of spots in the second round this year. Also moved down a couple of spots later in the draft.

We followed this up by swapping picks with GWS to move back up in the second round this year.

So all up we paid a second this year and a second next year and a few late round picks (which we are unlikely to use anyway).
