Yep. The only thing in our favour for WHE and Dunn is that their clubs are fairly desperate to offload those contracts due to cap squeezes resulting from other acquisitions. So that makes them cheaper buying.

They are GC's draft picks, the club that did not want picks and currently can have 10 & 48 if they accept the Hawks awful deal.

GC are not going to use all those picks - they literally don't want them. I would imagine they would be quite happy just with their 4 top 10 picks. So our job tomorrow is to go to Rocket and ask him, please sir may we have some picks.

If the AFL hadn't brought in the trading of future picks, you'd have a good point, but they'll simply turn them into next year's picks rather than overpaying and giving them away cheaply.

If Marsh wants to go home, why don't we just do a straight swap for Michael Barlow as a "Grunt" Midfielder for 2017 and beyond. He's only 28 and at least knows how to find the football.

Like. Fact is you use 35 players on your list over a full season. He gives us depth and experience for at least the next few years. Providing he does not cost too much it makes sense

-Witts + 47 for Gold Coast pick 26
-Williams to North for pick 33
-Frost + 28 + 65 for Brisbane pick 22
-WHE for 2017 3rd rounder
-Dunn for pick 83 and future 4th rounder
-Trade our pick 43 for GWS pick 51 + 60 (slight upgrade on points for Brown/Daicos)


So it then let's us take to the draft:

22, 26, 33, 51, 60, 61, 101

22 and 26 I reckon we would be able to draft some players but picks after that I believe would be spent on Brown/Daicos.

So we cull our list of those with poor disposal and all of a sudden we are going to bring in slow mo Barlow - don't think so.

If they intend on trading out 450k, slow, poor kick Greenwood... then I think Barlow would be an upgrade on greenwood disposal wise and would be on less coin.

With our youth and shite injury record in recent years I think we could do worse. Not saying its a priority trade, but if it gets to 1.30pm tomorrow and freo are looking to sell him for a future 3rd round pick... It's worth a look IMO

Or we can just wait a year and pick him up as a free agent
