Would honestly be surprised if either makes it back as a regular AFL player.

The odds are certainly against them, no doubt.
But if even one of them could have a really strong year, the positives would go far beyond just one player.

Marley Williams. You guys must be crying tears of laughter.

Not me. Huge fan. Had a bad year this year but I think that has more to do with personal issues than ability. Last year whenever there was a contested ball to be won, if I saw Marley in the frame I breathed easy. At his best he is a great contested ball winner, he is hard as nails, never takes a backward step and has great evasive skills.
Personally I think this is a trade that we are going to regret.

If it doesn't get done, we keep him. He's contracted, can't go into the draft.

Keeping a disgruntled Cloke getting paid a lot to play in the VFL would be worst case scenario sadly.
