Can't believe I am going to say this, Sam Reid what I can remember is on a huge contract if Sydney are feeling the squeeze you could get him very cheap.

God I feel dirty.

Question, what would we have got for beams under the new system? Would it be the similar to Treolar?

IMO, at that point in time Beams was a better player than Treolar last year.

No..He was let go the same as Golds, Goodyear and Wyatt. He just wasn't announced.
Isn't there a limit on the amount of times that a player can be rookie listed, and Gault was at the limit, which meant we either had to put him on senior list or let him go. I thought I read that last year when he was rookie listed again.

SEN reported yesterday that Mitchell was considering his future, with the Hawks being the front runner should he leave Sydney. Sydney is trying to make sufficient salary cap space. Carlton have also made a big offer but his "family" has advised him against going to Carlton. Any idea why?

If it makes you feel better you could join the conversation about large penises instead?

I can't get any more low right now why not.

Because they're shit?

It would be a similar situation to WHE. Trade in for cheap and take on their inflated salary (which we can afford). In Reid's case we'd probably offer 2 extra years at about $350k in addition to his contracted $500k next year.

Would love that to happen. Get him in the ballet room with his brother and fix him up and you have a quality key forward or defender for the next 5-6 years.

When has Sam Reid shown he'll be a quality KPP? Struggled for most if his time in the AFL outside of small glimpses andhighly injury prone.

Has been a whipping boy for the Swans faithful and isn't young anymore, there's no way his body will last to 30 at AFL level.

People on here that have a sook about him are just wingers. He's been really good for us and one of the best taggers in the league, he wins clearances and is actually dangerous up forward.

You're having a lend, yeah? 2.4 clearances a game screams big time. Being one of the best taggers in the league is like saying you're the coolest dinosaur going because its a dying role. Lastly he wasn't recruited to be dangerous up forward. Its been a bust simple.

Doesnt play in the midfield so we wont touch him

Seriously? No one is disagreeing with you that its an area we need to strengthen. The only reason you've had your view challenged is that you keep suggesting Sicily as a KPF option. He might be a handy option ahead of Mayne as a linking forward between the arcs, but unlike Reid he is not a KPP.

There is no doubt that he has potential, at 196cm and 96kgs he can play both back and forward and he is still only 24. However he is four years into a substantial 5 year contract and his results have been poor. Has played 98 games in 7 years, none this year. He has been moved from pillar to post with the recruitment of Tippett and Franklin and last year was moved between half forward flank and half back flank.

Career Stats: Kicks: 5.9; Marks: 4.2; HB: 5.2; CMk: 1.4; CP: 5.2; Goals: 1.0; BH: 0.7; Tackles: 2.2; I50: 1.5; M50: 1.4; GA: 0.5
