how are they targeting young average talent?
Freeman, Steele, Stevens, leverde hard during the year. Just off the top of my head. Yet they don't seem to be developing any elite superstar talent. Alwell. Good luck to them.

Yeah they brought up possible 3rd rounder and he said it wouldn't be that high. They then said 4th rounder and he said maybe.

What pick in the 4th do they have now?

Not sure what rounds these are but they have:

3, 16, 19, 21, 78, 96

4 of those are too high.... I would have thought the other 2 are too low.

We are talking about the same Frost who couldn't get a game at Collingwood and when he did this board went into meltdown, are we waiting for a late first rounder suitor

Nobody has suggested a first round for him.... What has been suggested is a swap of picks using our #28 and Frost.

Brisbane 4th rounder is 56. Thats probably no far off it for an out of contracted 24 yr old who spent half the year in the 2s despite having no injuries in a side that finished 12th with a backline that was crap all year.

His value would be quite low.

I wonder with the picks they are getting maybe the first round belt for rockliff might be loosening?

Are you kidding we all love Frost, he is just unfortunate that he has stars like Brown and Keeffe ahead of him next year. Don't forget he was in All Australian contention after round 2 2014 when he famously shut down Buddy.

They traded their 2016 4th round pick to GWS.

They have pick 78 (5th round)
Pick 78 has no value points wise for our father sons, so 78 has little to no value to us. I assume they have a pick earmarked in another trade, that will be used to secure Frost. Something around 50ish to 60's.

Gold Coast have pick 62, which is a pick they are highly unlikely to use. That could be used in any Hanley deal as a throwaway/sweetner type pick, not the guts of the deal obviously.

Feels like GWS sold the farm for the McGrath kid.... you would hope he turns out into an absolute star.

P.s. It's almost certain that Carlton will give up pick 5 for Marchbank and whoever. Because GWS have lost their other first rounders.

Ideally..

Seemed as though the talks have been amicable between Hine and Schwab so hopefully something works out for us to get some points for Brown and Daicos.

Just on brown, if he hasn't exercised his free agency right by tomorrow arvo, do we then assume he is staying!! Because free agency closes on Sunday! If no one wanted him as free agent surely they wouldn't trade for him?

how do you define crap. bottom 4 points leaked? We weren't, granted we weren't top 4, but IMHO I thought they were good, considering we kept 4 opposition teams to goalless first quarters and weren't bottom 4. I do take your point that he couldn't break into this backline though

I dont think Greenwood is a spud , most logical Pies fans think that.
But if we can get overs for him , similar case to Blair who i thought had a good year considering. Why not?
The suns and the lions i would think are looking for hard bodied on ballers/forwards
If the right offer comes why not.
Greenwood is tough. He 2ill stand up for the younger guys being intimidated by opposition bullies.

highlights how bizarre it was to offer him 3 years.

Paperwork must be lodged by 5pm Sunday for Brown to move as a FA.

If you think you can offer a bloke a 3 year contract and then only give a 4th-5th rounder in return you are kidding yourselves.

Brions are the absolute worst to trade with.
