I am very disappointed that Cox was not named for Cameron. I can't believe that we have made a definitive decision that Cox is not in contention for the finals team. I think Darcy Cameron is on notice: if he doesn't perform adequately tomorrow night (especially by taking marks around the ground), his position will be in jeopardy. Yet, I thought that we should have bitten the bullet, rested Cameron, and taken a look at what Cox can offer tomorrow night. He has been in great form in the VFL, and when his confidence is up, he can be a very dangerous weapon.
I think the selection of Jacob Ryan is bold and positive: we have decided that Brisbane's small forwards are the main danger, and selected a smaller defender to replace Moore.
Effectively, Ginni is replacing Hill, and I am very happy with that...Ginni is an ace up the sleeve, and he will relish the opportunity to cement a position in the senior team. That is obvious from his efforts last week. Sidey in is always a good move. I hope McInnes is the sub, with a view to playing through the middle if he comes on.

It’s because no one has been dropped. They only have done it lately because Fly hates the sub being listed as omitted.
Nah the club always name the sub on the website when selection is finalised on a Thursday night. It’s definitely unusual and has me wondering if Carmichael is favoured and they’re giving his thumb a further 24 hrs.

I’d be surprised if JC is playing, he’s been a spud recently. He might get possessions in the VFL that make the stats look good but he’s disposals are atrocious and he still can’t handball more the 1 meter before it hits the ground.

I’ve seen your posts… I’m pretty ambivalent myself because the impact of the sub is rarely a factor and in the role he’d be asked to play pressure/ intent is much more important than ball use. I assume if it’s him he’d likely replace Adams forward releasing him into the middle. I don’t have the same confidence in McInnes offering the same.

Lose to the Lions and it's 6 consecutive losses to them. We are their bitch.
Historically, we have often played the Lions with a disastrous injury list. First game this year we had no recognised ruck. We also always seem to play them at the Gabba
Not excuses, but explanation of why the playing field has been tilted in their favour for some time.
Yet again, we are playing them with a significant injury list.
But this team has grit, anger and pride in spades, and will want to win this game. I predict a very tight contest.

Always will be playing them at the Gabba first up for the foreseeable future it's down for the Thursday pre Good Friday blockbuster

Was leaning towards Lions getting the chocolates with the outs. Hearing Bruzzy will run out as captain… we will win by 435 points.
Bruz Stats:
Kicks: 19
Handballs :5
Tackles:347
Smothers: 128
1%ers: 654
Lions injuries:6
MRP: Sent straight to tribunal, we hire P Cripps lawyer he gets off

Just 5 handballs? Come on!

Think it's fairly clear we're omitting any players with even a hint of injury. These last two games are about staying as healthy as possible, the results don't mean much.

Main interest in watching the game is to see how Ryan goes and Howe up forward if he plays there.
