All the teams have had illness. We just don't focus on it because it's not our team or hear about it. Plenty of others have missed training and then play for their match. Sometimes the coaches only mention it in their pressers if they've had a quiet game. Fly seems to be more transparent and upfront.
Also nothing is reported on like Collingwood is. We’re more newsworthy than other clubs.

It’s more who you play than diff between 1 and 2, 2nd at this stage potentially plays bris, but who we play is out of our hands. So I agree 1st or 2nd is irrelevant.
I'm fine playing Brisbane if it's in Melbourne. Dees would probably be tougher, assuming they can get things together.

But then, there's no one we should be seriously concerned about at the 'G. All about locking in top two.

Probably true. I only care about our sick.

Preemptive resting Hill and bringing in Macrae probably isn’t what we would be doing given Frampton and McStay are playing forward instead of Mihocek and Cameron.
The physios can usually tell when a player is on the cusp of injury…I think at this point of the year and our position, if somebodies testing is abnormal or out of balance you take the conservative option.

Preemptive resting. It’s what we should be doing. Hopefully Macrae gets a go.
I’d say Reef or Ginni over Finn. As good as Finn has been in VFL, he’s almost purely a mid. Not a forward unfortunately.

Sorry M42- didn’t see your second post referencing Finn into mid and Sidey/Adams up forward. I’d go for Sidey up forward 👍

Yeah, that's the debate isn't it? My thinking: if we get a few injuries -- say Adams and Mitchell together -- then someone like Macrae is likely to come in. Do we really want him coming in not having played at all this year?
You can cover the inside midfield with 4 blokes at 75%. And you'd still have Pendles, Nick, Jordy and Crisp - plus they use Josh in there a bit. Our midfield depth is strong through having rotated mids through there this year.

I'm usually one to downplay our prospects no matter how we're performing, but I'm very confident today.

Fremantle are close to reaching rock bottom at the moment. They've come off a terrible loss against Carlton and have had too many below par performances throughout the year.

Good to see McStay back in the side. Think he will provide important balance to our forward line.
