Yeah yeah Ch 7 hype promo. The "chink" in our armour is a game played 4 years ago with different teams and different conditions. What a load of baloney.

If you watched that promo, you wouldn't bother turning up as we've already lost according to them. Reality is they're 8-2 and we're 7-3. Not much difference there.

My point is, it's going to be a hard-fought and likely close game. But we've trained for this moment since the start of the 2022 season where Fly dared the team to dream. Close, hard-fought games are our bread and butter.

Making a prelim in 2022 was a bonus, we were never meant to be there and after the fun and surprise of that season it was awesome

Tonight feels way more real

Before the melbourne game I had one in the back for the first time ever, been here 10 years. Was there for about 15 min enjoying some dry dog food. That afternoon went for a walk and got swooped by two Maggies, also the first time since I’ve been here.

Will do the same walk later.
Enjoying some dry dog food eh? I'm a Chum man myself 😁

Losing in a prelim is as bad as in a granny. Nerves are jangling. We cannot have another wasted opportunity. And I so wanted to play Port. Reckon they would have been an easy kill. We copped Dees who were toughest opponent on neutral ground first up and now the red hot Giants. Nothing comes easily to us, does it?
Yes and no. Prelims are footy's ultimate reality check. If you lose one, you dont 'deserve' to be playing off for the flag. Just not good enough.

Thats how I look at them and deal with the many PF disappointments over the years.

I suppose CH7 couldn’t use the abyssmal GF failure of GWS as their chink.

No need for pessimism.

I've looked through finals series from 2000 onwards and I don't think I've seen a single instance of a team winning the flag, after playing no home finals and traveling every week.

Yes i'm trying to find some good omens lol
But that does not mean they lose tonight. Remember they beat us in 2019 when we were rested but ran on empty the next week and were flogged.

Nervous as, but that’s not unusual for me.

Comforting myself by finding reasons that GWS'S form is not all it cracked up to be.
The win against Carlton was due to Carlton putting the cue in the rack after free kick Curnow won the Coleman. The win against St.kilda came after the players were made aware of Membrey's issues. The win against Port was against a side riddled with injuries. Notwithstanding this, they still conceded 1 goal 9 behinds in the last quarter.

Go Pies . 27 point winners tonight.
