Privately they do, but who could blame them? It’s the Collingwood juggernaut with eleventy kazillion supporters filling the MCG to the gunwales (*) versus GWS with 34 supporters who are a combination of misfits from Blacktown, Rooty Hill and ungrateful kids whose Granny heard that they “liked AFL” so bought them a GWS membership for Christmas. It’s natural to go for the underdog.

Professionally, every media person will be going for a Collingwood v Carlton Grand Final, because it would be huge.

Oh, and @walterblaknwhite clearly has never ventured west of ANZAC Pde if he reckons GWS are inner city latte sipping types

In terms of running an efficient and decent public transport system, we actually have a hell of a lot to learn from the Japanese. In terms of having an interesting and rich culture, there are also a few pointers we could take from them too. If only they had AFL football.

Yeah if you want a good public transport system, get the Chinese to build it, Japanese to run it and Indians to sell food on it.
