The Game

No surprise Port are unhinged stalkers when it comes to our jumper

They are a boil of inadequacy bandaged in irrelevance

They have won 1 premiership in first grade, celebrated by Chocko choking himself

This minnow club is filled with self-loathing - how else would Kochie be President ?

Watch the seagulls descend on the G to feast on the chips on their shoulders

Our club and boys are not fragile petals

How many times have you watched the video of Jamie's kick and the team going mental ?

As exhilarating as these finishes are, we are ready for a four-quarter performance

It's coming this week

Crispy to charge all day

Adams to extract like a dentist wanting a holiday house

Johnson to run amok and nail 6

10 in a row

I said in another thread I’ve been trying to work out whether we’re any good…we are hard to play against. So that’s a good sign.
Port were rubbish in the first 4 weeks. Lost by a kick to blues and have been pretty good since. No easy beats.

Will be a really good test for us to see if we’re up and about….I hope we are!!!!
Because if we do well, it will give us a heap of confidence to have gotten through a bad patch….

Maybe I’m just used to the previous regime of self motivation….time will tell!!!

Agreed. Still really hard to tell how good we are, so I’m hoping we get a clear indication today. Go Pies!!

Surely the plan is going to be Carmichael sub every week from here on (injuries permitting.)

In the event we have an injury free game he may dip back to the VFL to get a run.

We know he can't run large TOG % currently and he can clearly be damaging when the sting is taken out of the game.

Look at Sier in the 2018 season/finals. Had what 20 odd touches in the first half of the Granny, but didn't have the stamina to run out the game. Imagine how damaging he would of been as a sub coming on for the back half of the game.

Is a strategy that obviously relies on the event of an injury, but I think while he is still building is tank JC as a supersub is the best option for him.

I'm sure if we'd have a plan for an injury in the first 10 mins, just as we would for a last qtr injury in terms of the role JC plays and how we balance his TOG % limitations.

Edit:

Sier was ofcourse really vital to our midfield extraction in that GF, but we ofcourse relied on JDG down forward. Where in 2022 I don't think our forward line needs JDG aside from resting down there.

Grundy rucking with Adams, JDG provides us plenty of extraction and strength, alongside Crisp with Pendles et. al. Rotating through as the outside mid.
