Thought I’d watch FC tonight, probably for the first time in 5 years expecting some positive reporting about the Clarko appointment.

No. Incredibly they take the North has not guaranteed Ben Amarfio’s position as CEO angle backed by sinister, dramatic music. WTF?

It wasn’t until maybe half way through the show that they go to the Clarko appointment. Just a brief moment of recognition for Sonya but really, just a set up to play her comments about not making the announcement on Kingy & Kane’s morning program because he’d called her uninspiring.

I suddenly remembered one of the many reasons I stopped watching this toxic, nepotistic sh*tfest. All about the hosts’ egos. Cornes genuinely was offended by Sonya’s light hearted comments. Wilson wasn’t at any stage brought to task on her continued vendetta against Clarko going to North. No apology. I’ll be signing off from this sad, nasty show for another 5 years.

Thats what they do, when they are wrong and embarrassed it is like it never happened. It is flipping hilarious and embarrassing, but they will continue on. Have hardly watched any football shows for yrs because of this.If I do watch its if they are talking about the actual game.

Lloyd calling her out at the end . Love the work with the Lemons . Most negative people ever on this panel . Horrible show

I think Cornes might just be a misogynist after all if that’s how he reacts to Sonja one day after us getting the potentially greatest coach ever. He can make a drive by but she can’t? He took a stab at her right after the interview ended and called her uninspiring.

Even chompers told him to cool it yesterday.

Yeah no shit Kane, we know we got smashed. None of us actually care when you’re the bottom team who’s lost a coach and have no game style. What, was landing clarkson the day prior going to come with an automatic manual on how to win which could be accessed immediately after purchasing?

Tuned out. Staying tuned out. Bitter old fools spreading their little rays of toxicity and trying to reflect or save some sort of face when they get it so horribly horribly wrong. Same with the Sunday footy show. Surely it wasn’t lost on those here the lip service they paid to the Clarkson signing. Spoke more about The scum and our audacity to celebrate a massive off filed win (Over the scum no less. Sweet salty tears of nourishment) What a joke. When can we stop calling them media and simply refer to them as loud mouthed supporters of opposition clubs?

This is exactly what in brief summation is meant, inadvertently of course, by Damo's most unintentionally inspired comment against his own profession that he's ever made

"We're a move on industry."

No job for Jackson

JON RALPH

NORTH Melbourne says former Melbourne chief executive Peter Jackson has been a valuable behind-the-scenes consultant for the club, but will not take on a formal role at Arden St.

Essendon and Demons chief executive Jackson helped out new president Sonja Hood in recent months, after being introduced by North Melbourne adviser and ex-Melbourne coach Paul Roos.

North Melbourne’s current chief executive Ben Amarfio continues in his role for the time being. But as the Herald Sun reported on Saturday, he is likely to move on at some stage in the future.

Hood sidestepped any ongoing commitment to Amarfio in her weekend press interviews, despite citing his role helping the club become debtfree as it continues to redevelop the Arden precinct.
Jackson has been a valuable sounding board for Hood and the North Melbourne board as they pursued new coach Alastair Clarkson with a single-minded focus.
While Amarfio’s role will remain a subject of discussion, Hood said on Monday night the chief executive had many significant projects to work on.
“I reached out to Peter Jackson on behalf of the club board before we started formal conversations with Alastair Clarkson and his manager some weeks ago,” Hood said.
“Peter was recommended to us by Paul Roos, and he has provided great counsel.
“As far as the CEO’s role is concerned, Ben Amarfio played a key role in securing Alastair Clarkson, and he will continue that work as we begin to assemble the team around Alastair.
“There are a number of other big ticket items on the club’s agenda – completing the latest stage of our $8m Arden St redevelopment, launching our Future Fund, securing the priority draft selection assistance package from the AFL, re-signing major partners, implementing the recommendations of the Geoff Walsh report, to name a few.
“Ben will play a key role in all of those projects.”

That sucks. Good on the club for trying to make moves though

No segment about Clarko arriving at North on AFL 360, what stupidity is this?
I thought that was really weird as I was expecting to see something from Robbo, at least, after his comments last week about how Clarko should coach North.
