if you think about it we typically have 4 selections a year at the draft, we need to average 2 players a year.
Over 10 years that's 20 players or a 50% strike rate.
I'd suggest our long term average over the last 15 years has been well below that, I nominate 2011 as our worst year at the draft.
Wasn't 2011 when GWS had any number of draft concessions, and were able to score some of the draft's best prospects? Would have made it much harder for all of the other clubs.

Whatley. He may be nerdish and is promoted as a "football nerd" which is to give the impression he's a thinker, but he's really just a conflicted crawler who presents opinions as if they are information.
* I’d love it if we could get an audio grab of the AFL nation commentary team talking about who is going to win the norm smith after the game.

Whateley just absolutely drowning in his own jizz over how fitting the story should be that Dangerfield wins the norm smith. That it’s the perfect story and he should be awarded it on that.

Healy and Hudson just like silent, then just have to change tact and run with nope, smith will win it.
I used to not mind GW, but these above posts are absolutely correct. Literally tries to create a narrative or what he “wants” to happen. Become a bit of a parody of himself.

Can't help but think that the tone of the article may have been a teensy bit different were it not her beloved Tigers.

Can't be right. The meter didn't explode.

100%. She describes the whistleblower as 'twisted'. If you care about men treating women disrespectfully which she certainly claims to then surely the whistleblower should be applauded?
precisely, luckily for richmond caro aced the "how to turn a sows ear into a silk purse" course.

Really good interview with Craig Sholl this morning on SEN Tassie 54min 30s in :thumbsu:

My back to back meat tray wins were with number 24. Craig Sholl was the first thing my mate said.

Shinboner No.433, Brady was one of the finest key position players of his time, excelling in the usually difficult position of centre half-forward.

..played 118 games and kicked 44 goals in his time at the club between 1952 and 1959.

..donned the ‘Big V’ jumper representing Victoria in 1954, 1957 and 1959.

..awarded the Syd Barker Medal in 1954 for his outstanding season and captained the side from 1957 until his VFL retirement two seasons later.

That's an outstanding career in what would've been a physically tough era.

2011 was a double dip year from memory. GWS had pre draft concessions, draft picks and there was still a tail on GC access to the draft as well. Every team who got careers out of players past the first round should consider themselves lucky.
