A Maserati is said to have been spotted near the player’s home
That does it. I'm on holidays until further notice. There's a Maserati that parks outside of my place nearly every day.

Maybe my neighbour's business of selling used Euro lux cars is a front for an outlaw bikie gang. And to think, when I lived in Seaford we were only a few houses from the gang that lived there. The only thing that used to get our goat was the blow up vinyl lady who used to sunbake in the nude on their front porch and the frequent visits from a couple of rough looking blokes (one on his electric wheelchair) for their regular supply of whatever was being traded on the day.

If only the AFL had a one strike policy.

You use and get caught, you’re done.
I like it, trouble is, there would be quite a few players in a sticky situation and I guess everyone deserves a second chance. Most of us have made a wrong choice in life in one form or another and just imagine if we were told, that's it. Its when you get three or four chances {especially if its covered up} that it becomes never ending. The difference is they are role models and are suppose to be setting an example, but they are after all, human.

Personally I don't care about strikes outside of game / performance / WADA rules. If someone wants to smoke cones over summer or chew gummies all off season and can somehow still perform come game day good luck to them IMO.

Shame this attitude didn’t accompany the previous senior players.
Maybe it did, maybe it didn't, I think what you have to factor in is, essentially one word, class. Yes you all can buy in, have a go, train hard but if you haven't got the class its not going to happen. I mean you would improve a little bit, but not enough to lets say make the Eight.

We haven't had the class, but now that has changed significantly. Also don't discount the enthusiasm of the youngsters we've brought in to the club, I think we've seen more in eight weeks than we've seen in four years and that's nobody's fault its just football, it doesn't matter how good your endeavour is, if you haven't got the cattle, your pushing sh*t uphill.

Our time of pushing sh*t uphill is finished, I would like to say its starting now, but the truth of the matter is, it started just before that Gold Coast game and that's before we brought in more class. Now if your a North Melbourne supporter, you can be cautious, you can be hesitant and you can even be optimistic, but by god if your not excited with our "baby" kangaroos heading into this season then there is something wrong. Me, for this year, well I think this sums it up....

…yeh that’s wat I hoped/thought this time last year until the first Practice Game

I’m done living on hope. Wins will mean improvement

Agree almost word for word. I hope like hell my young bloke suddenly finds the joy in footy because he's in for a hell of a ride over the next decade IMO.

At times supporters are way too hard on players with their expectations. Players are not all good enough to be in the top 10% in the league and no amount of trying hard will necessarily change that.

I get you Gasometer, but the funny thing is, last year we did improve, to the amount I thought we would. The only thing I got wrong was the wins. I thought we would win 4 games, maybe 5 at the most, and you know what, there were several games we should have won but for reasons I've already posted about, it didn't eventuate and that's why I'm very excited for this year.

At our stage of developing there is no way on gods green earth we should have played the way we did against Sydney, Carlton, Essendon, Collingwood and Gold Coast, [I could have missed one or two}. The two main games being Sydney, who the previous year played off in a grand final,{we pretty much cut them to ribbons, but for the unthinkable to happen} and Gold Coast who I tip to go very close to making the 8 this year and with their very good midfield, just let that sink in for a second, what we nearly did and what we ended up doing.

I know I've posted this before but that Gold Coast game is just off the charts, I was expecting quite a decent hammering against their midfield and ruck and other players and to half time that was what was happening. I thought with their bum up it might get out to a very crazy margin and really hoped we could play better in the second half and limit the damage. What we did to that team in the second half, a few words come to mind, implausible and unimaginable, and without our two best players, its starting to look scary doesn't it.

Remember this, Gold Coast are a very good team, slowly rising up the ladder, this year they will beat more teams than will beat them, its taken time but they are quite close to creating history for their club this year. Wins will mean improvement, what we're going to see this year is akin to seeing a UFO, people know there out there,{well most people} but until YOU see one your not going to believe. I have a funny feeling before this year is done, your hope & excitement and feverishness are going to go to anther level.

Is it me, or does it seem since covid, that the media have got worse and its all about breaking the story first and getting the clicks, whether the facts are right or wrong. I mean with Tarryn, first it was DV and now its inappropriate behaviour, I mean which one is it?
If your going to make a big story that's fine but get the facts right.

If I had my way, reporters would be held accountable if they reported false or misleading information, this way if your a reporter you make darn sure your information is very good and not just one side or hearsay before sprinting to the office to get it printed first.
A few people seem to have hung Tarryn before the trial, maybe go watch the movie "Hang 'em High" with Clint Eastwood.
Some of the stuff is a bit like, lets just relax a little bit and see what the actual truth is, you know.😐

Yes I was at the Gold Coast win and what I saw there convinced me we can be an 8-10 game winning team this season 👍

I can’t wait. To think for a whole 20 minutes they can question Curtis Taylor about what he actually does
