The option was there for the club to say: "Thomas will never play for the NMFC again as a result of his ongoing, unacceptable behaviour. He has run out of chances and as such the club will have no further direct contact with him. The club will provide Thomas with access to a third party counselling service for the remainder of 2024, should he wish to use it. The club will trade him at the end of the year, should his management indicate that he wants to play in 2025."

I’m really hating clarko’s interviews atm, just praising the opposition and stating the obvious. I want him to look angry. I want him to say conceding 100+ points every week is not good enough. I want him to say our leaders are not pulling their weight.

We are conceding cricket scores and giving us no chance to win games. **** north ball. Conceding 100+ points every week is just as demoralising as not scoring.

Players are sick of losing my arse. Have yet to see them put in 100% effort for 100% of the game.

Now I know players have lives, and are allowed to unwind etc, but some of the stuff you see seems like players don’t care either way

Yeah that’s possible. But also so is the opposite or a version with varying degrees of the opposite. I fully get it, but it just sucks from the investment we’ve put in and how much it hurts us on field. I’m pissed at him.

Yeah to be honest we might be the least hungry team in the league or at least one of them. The hunger for success is simply not there which goes hand in hand with the lack of belief. It's all due to loss after loss after loss over the last 4 or 5 seasons. We are in a far bigger hole than Carton or Melbourne ever were.

We are losing these games because as a team, we are 2 or 3 years behind these teams, in terms of development.

Clarko can scream all he wants. But it's not going to change the fact that GWS and Carlton (both 23 Prelim finalists), are just harder fitter and more experienced. FREO won a final the year before, with Fyfe, Brayshaw, Serong Young...

So Clarko can get angry all he wants at Sheez, Wardlaw, Mckercher, Powell. But unless he has a magic wand and can add 3 years of muscle. development and 60 games of experience, it will mean nothing.

So he knows this and the importance of supporting his team. Being positive.

FFS,what do you expect him to do ?

remember the noble years when we couldn’t kick a winning score or defend and every game was 100+ against us. At least now we can kick winning scores and now just need to fix up the defense and dominating clearances

We’d be lucky to kick 5 goals with noble. What’s the AFL average for scores kicked? 75-80?

We’re kicking 12/13 goals a game this year

Let's get one thing straight. Multiple clubs are competing to sign Thomas. Go and ask any pro scout - they're all clambering after him. And he'll be on good to very good money. But, yes, he can just wait for us to delist him and we'll get nothing. But where will that leave him?
