we have played 3 of the top four sides. lets be realistic.
A little bit deceptive.

Two of the three sides we've played have played extra games.

Fremantle have had 2 games at home and us away.

The other two have also played us (a side that never wins) out of a small sample size of games.

The quality of our opposition to date is not really clear this early in the season with a fixture that is nowhere near weighted yet with some teams playing more games than others.

Doesn't matter who we have played. Apart for 1.5 quarters where we went nuts, it's been circle work for the opposition.

Sad news.

Not nice mate.

Congratulations to Gerard Whately on his commitment to SEN. Declaring his nuptials with a radio license is a bold move but not unexpected.

Gives "head for radio" a bit of a twist though.

Seeing Powell on the fourth line in blue and white makes me slightly less irritated to see Serong on the 5th line not in blue and white.

Geez Matt Rowell has a head for the ages.

He looks like he should be some kind of avant-garde arthouse pornographer, not an elite footballer.

"After losing Ben McKay (Essendon) in the off-season, North hardly addressed their huge key defender issues and headed into the new campaign with Aidan Corr, Will Dawson, Charlie Comben, Kallan Dawson, Toby Pink and Griffin Logue
...
The Kangaroos had the chance to begin the regenerative process of their key back stocks at last year’s draft, but with Pick 4 opted to take talented forward Zane Duursma instead of Daniel Curtin"

How insanely stupid is it to disregard 1x first round KPD in one paragraph and then say we should've picked up a different KPD in the draft in the same article. That's without even mentioning that Dawson has looked better than Curtin so far in the ressies.

It's a terrible article where he's trying to force tidbits into his narrative. As if Dan Curtin would've made one ounce of difference against Curnow and McKay last week.
Disappointing because he's capable of much, much better.

I see the AFL media will now be running with the "North should have drafted Dan Curtin" angle while our defence are finding their feet, first Marc "Lilac" McGowan* and now Fox Footy.

*Marc McGowan shall henceforth be referred to as Marc "Lilac" McGowan because he has officially become Damien Barrett light
