Cunnington an absolute Champion of this club not playing while some Try hard in Turner plays in the AFL.
Forget asking about Priorities for players try getting priorities for administration and coaching members 1st so mistakes like Turner and others get weeded out .
I feel embarrassed to see the NMFC treat Cunnington like this and if Cunnington decides to retire and leave North and not return I would understand.
I thought cunners had been named to play this week ?

That's what Emma Murray said the other day on SEN. Teams should focus on the process and stop worrying about outcome.
I think this happened with the Blues, they focused on pressure and contested ball and the outcome has taken care of itself in terms of win/loss.

It's all well and good to focus on the process but I think we've come to the point some players simply cannot progress at this stage. There are a few that will be delisted and we'll have to start again. Another year wasted.

Am I surprised? Probably not. We don't have the athletic profile to play zone defence. It's all good to have experience, but we are so far behind in the capacity to run harder and defend properly. It's such a big gap 2024 could be another process-driven season before we even get near some wins.

A lot of this game is mental. WCE nearly just rolled the Bombers. The teams are a lot closer than you think. Confidence and trust plays a big part.
The players who are dillusioned/disinterested and not up to it will be moved on in 1-2 years.
Pressure will come from the new players on Zurhaar/Stevo/Ford to perform each week. We just haven't got that from VFL level just yet.
We're a fair way off the top 6 sides but I don't think it's as hopeless as it looks. 6 games under 12 points. 2 wins, 4 losses. We don't know how to win.
As for athletic profile that's a drafting issue no question. Stood out against the Hawks.
A lot of other teams like West Coast, Tigers and Blues have shown progression when they stop getting caught up in the outcome.
The Blues is an obvious one, they stopped worrying if a loss will get the coach sacked and its also comes from the leaders at the club as well.
Next year the players will know that Clarko is the coach and he ain't getting sacked so its time for them to get to work.

From the AFL.com.au match report

Retiring Kangaroos veteran Jack Ziebell, who hadn't featured in the AFL since round eight, notched a team-high 32 disposals.

I'm guessing they had pre written part of the article when Cunnington was one of the ins?

Draft guns, delist spuds (and also not draft them).

Coach well.

Kick more goals than opposition.

Only drink with teenagers in off-season.
