Two U.S. warships in the Mediterranean Sea fired 59 Tomahawk missiles intended for a single target — Ash Sha’irat in Homs province in western Syria, the officials said. That’s the airfield from which the United States believes the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad fired the banned weapons.

There was no immediate word on casualties. U.S. officials told NBC News that people were not targeted and that aircraft and infrastructure at the site, including the runway, were hit.

I gave up the cancer sticks 8 years ago and the punt nearly 9 years ago. If you can guarantee it is all over for me, I am going straight to the TAB and I am smoking inside.

You'd get a fright like you've never had, if Kim and Donald got into it!

When or if this becomes more than humour for youngsters I guess , who have never faced the reality of real conflict, you may really only need your lunch , remember it won't just be you making jokes, it'll be your family and friends who won't see a joke at all. And who you will never see again either.

Its not a laughing matter,

So unless your humour is to over ride your fear, stop the rubbish , it becomes offensive , and hopefully nothing develops, but if it does , you will be living in a world of pain not living in safe little Aus. And not for long either.

I seriously think that nothing will happen.

I know the thread is bound by the word brink

But what about the next 30 years....maybe even bring it in another 20 years to 10.

Could you honestly not seeing any sort of nuclear attack by some psychotic regime happening in that time period.

Not having a go but just wondering if you think that it wont happen in that sort of time period.

The Earth is ever evolving.... we will just be a footnote for the next lot of being that evolved out of burping oxygen cow pats within the next 50 million years.

I think its unavoidable myself.

no fear factor whatsoever here with me Joon, 57 years old and seen a fair bit. my philosophy is if you can't do anything about it just adapt to the situation and there's not much i can do about what is happening ATM c'est la vie. as far as being offensive, see below.
