general rubbish again. I get the feeling you really don't have any scientific credentials but rather just work in the industry. Speak to specific vaccines undergoing trial or don't bother. We all know the usual timeframes and success rates.

like I said I hope you are right, but in my opinion you are being overly optimistic based on the information you’ve read. HISTORY tells us that vaccines just aren’t that easy... no matter how much money you throw at it.

The positive is the 7 day average is declining and now in the low 300s.

There isn't an approved COVID vaccine yet that has passed all processes.

Sure there are plenty in development & testing, but you are jumping the gun if you think they are going to be ready & used in the general population before the end of this year.

If we get a COVID vaccine early next year, that will be an amazing outcome for speed. No doubt more resources than ever are being put into this, which is why there is hope it will be sooner rather than later... but there are no guarantees.

I haven’t been doing that AT ALL. I have said it is very unlikely that a vaccine will be produced in the time frames you are pushing, if at all, that anti virals are probably the more likely go to in the early stages. It is well known in drug design and development, if you hear about promising drugs it’s because the researcher wants more money, and not necessarily because it is ultra promising. Mostly, you don’t hear about promising compounds because the scientist and collaborating pharma company want to protect the IP from others that could swoop in and usurp the research. You should know this.

99% of current infections originated from returning overseas passengers.

Staff were not told to wear masks, use appropriate PPE or were given training in infection control.

The enquiry has not been able to determine who was in charge of the hotel quarantine. Fmd, how can this government not know who was in charge... no wonder it has been a shamozle!

Some shadow minister asked some minister down there last week "can you please finally tell us which minister is responsible for hotel quarantine" and the minister flat out said "no, that's a gotcha question, so I'm not answering it".

Amazing. If you don't wanna be held accountable you can just say nope that's a gotcha question. Would love to see him in court.
