I'm gonna play that one in my mind.

1st quarter - Liam Ryan jumps so high going for a mark over an out of position umpire, he needs a parachute to come down.
WCE 8.1 to Richmond 2.7 at quarter time.

and anyone on centrelink
Thats covered by the poor isn't it?
I mean if they just had a go they'd not be poor right?

But on that.

The quiet Australians

The government is trying to save lives so I support any brain-dead scheme they hatch up, including measures straight out of Orwellian dystopia.

At the end of the day, the government is my friend, the politicians care about me, as do the companies who get government money to spy on me.

They are only impinging on my basic rights as a human because they want my life to be better.

Anybody who says otherwise is a bad person who deserves to be ridiculed and no logical conversations need to be entered into.

Took longer than I thought.

Blocking access to a hospital as part of protests over social distancing nice work Merica

To think Australia is still a few weeks away from possibly lifting some restrictions, even when most states are into single-digit daily caseloads...

Even if the % growth has tapered off across America, they're still in the hundreds of daily cases across all but the smallest states. Going to take months before they can safely ease off - and their crazies are starting crack after a few weeks.

More like they care about thier donors.

I'm honestly so thankful that celebrities are around to help me through this Covid crisis. God bless them for their inspirational #stayathome speeches and live concerts. I feel so much better about things with them around doing such things. :)

With Trump pushing hard for a gradual reopening in a couple of weeks it is a near certainty that a second wave will hit. I guess he's going to pick the economy over lives. I challenge any Trump fans to dispute me on that one.

Insanity.

It's not up to him. The governors have the choice.

Of course but then you have Trump waving his dick around earlier in the week stating he has 'total authority', implicitly stating he will use his power to override what the states impose.

I would hope all the governors - whether Republican or Democrat - push back against the madness.

Like I said, insanity.

The guy's a clown. Although he seemed kind of normal in the news bites tonight.

What power?

What power?

Executive orders, vetoing unfavourable legislation, hiring and firing of Federal staff, withholding and redirecting of Federal funding, even the deployment of the National Guard if he really wanted to.

As in Australia the Feds can throw their weight around if they want to. Here in Australia at least ScoMo has deferred to the states on issues like school closures, border control and enforcement of social distancing and non-essential travel - far cry from Trump in the US.

To the best of my knowledge, Trump doesn't have the legal power to end a state lock down.

As stated in my post above there are ways around it and it would not surprise me if when May rolls around he has a dummy spit when states refuse to comply.
