So if you can only have 5 guests in your home, can you make a reservation at a restaurant for yourself and 6 friends?
Depends on the restaurant

Apparently that includes me even though I live in Moonee Valley.

Just to cheer you up see below.

Even us non-Victorians are not amused at what the AFR has published today on this.

The company engaged by the Victorian government to manage crisis communication with the state's 1864 confirmed virus cases was only asked to communicate in languages other than English on Monday, with insiders admitting language had been a "blind spot".
Critics claim the Victorian government has failed to effectively communicate with multicultural communities in virus hotspots, pointing to a breakdown with local governments and engaging with non-English-speaking families.
Health Minister Jenny Mikakos announced a $37 million package on April 4 for increased surveillance and contact tracing, including a contract with ASX-listed Whispir to communicate with confirmed cases, but sources confirmed communication remained only in English before Monday. Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows five of the six hotspots have more than a third of their residents born overseas, with India, Iraq, Sri Lanka, China, Vietnam and Italy among the leading places of birth.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said hundreds of health officials would be sent out from Wednesday to doorknock on family households. The focus will be on greater cultural and linguistic capability, given the hotspots identified have large migrant communities.
"We had low-level chains of community transmission that we were not necessarily aware of," Mr Andrews told reporters on Tuesday.
"It is principally families, larger families often, making decisions that are not in accordance with the rules and are not the right thing to do.

It seems rather silly given the chances of crossing paths with someone who is infected is slim. Hume, Casey and Cardinia are massive areas.
It’s ridiculous, especially given I don’t even live there but have been made to stay home because my postcode is the same as a postcode in Brimbank. This workplace is a shit show. I want my job back so desperately

Self isolated for 5 days waiting for a test result, unpaid. Negative result. Back to work today and get an email tonight saying on advice from the heath department people people residing in Hume, Casey, Darebin, Brimbank, Moreland and Cardinia are not permitted to attend work until further notice. Jesus Christ
Got to be fake, that is a lot of ****ing people out of work. Even during the harsh lockdown with far more infections people could work. That would practically shutdown those areas.

I just got a negative test back, have only been to work and home so I’m one of the safest people to have there. I tried to fight it but they insisted I take tomorrow off at regular pay. Fine. But I’m going back Thursday.

I’ve searched everywhere to find something released by DHHS or social media posts of other people in this position. Can’t find a thing.

It's fake, good chance anything by email is fake, just delete it.

I mean if they will let you book for 6, they'd need a big table to meet the rules.

Be interesting, im going out for dinner with 4 mates tonight, ill see how spread out we have to be.

Going by when we went to NSW and a pub there, they didnt give a shit where or how we sat, just couldnt stand at the bar was their one rule.

This is thought provoking

tweeter is not a fan of andrews (dan) and believes the reopening of golf courses has contributed directly. It flies in the face of what the say someone like Sam Newman has said. Sam is also anti Andrews.

Yes its the golf courses.....

His statement does reek of inconsistencies (as all government messages do). We need to be careful and are at a crossroads etc - but we will be re-opening things that haven't been open because they were unsafe previously etc.....

Dan Andrews could find a cure for this whole bloody thing and he'd still be criticised for not doing it quickly enough.

I just thought it's funny that the tweeter is linking reopening of courses to a secondary wave, when right minded/sided people like sam were screaming black and blue for courses to reopen

Pasta shelves empty at my local. 🙄🙄

At least in slight positive news only 8 community transmissions today.
Thats good, I'm just wondering how far we are from lock down Part 2. The press is certainly whipping up a frenzy again. Don't think we can ever eliminate it in this country while we are continuing to bring back returned travellers in their hundreds every day.

Remove the gold course part and that twetter isn't half wrong, Andrews answer to the virus was to lock everyone up, threaten the people with police action, threaten hefty fines and hope that would do the trick and he could then grandstand in front of the other premiers and show off and now we have a few people get the virus and guess what he is doing again, yep threatening lockdown, threats of police action and hefty fines and hope that does trick, he has no plan, he doesn't know what to do and all he does is follow what the other states have done in regards to easing of restrictions, why do you think he was always a week or two behind the other states.

Because Dan is threatening lockdown so the gullible and panic merchants are shitting themselves, seriously the Andrews government have no people skills, not surprising when all they do is talk down to everyone and issue threats.
