So, I was at a store earlier today and had to get a temp check before entering, 35.4 degrees and and in I go.

While in the store I was like, hmmm that's a bit low so went and asked if they could do it again, she says ok and 36.6 degrees.

Same shop, same lady performing the temp check, 10 minutes between each.

I ask how could it be so far apart, pretty much said that the further away from the forehead the lower the temp, says if a person who doesn't know the correct technique is performing the check you will pass every time even if sick.

Covid hotspot on Merseyside? Can't imagine the Scousers adhering to a lot of social distancing at the moment.

But they wore masques... And they were only in the 'hundreds'.

BBC said:
Despite being urged to "stay home" by the city's metro mayor because of coronavirus, hundreds of fans have gathered at Anfield to celebrate.

Many of the supporters who congregated at the club's ground wore face masks and some lit flares.

It's rumoured that some of the crowd were even wearing flares.

Why does the Mersey run through Liverpool?
Because if it walked it would get mugged.

WTF! Only around 70% of people in hotel quarantine are being tested! How is this not mandatory?

Made more sense when there was a scarcity of tests, to only do so when someone had symptoms. But now they're pretty much freely available, you'd think they'd test everyone 1 - 2 times regardless given they're the highest risk group for new cases.

Overseas travellers have accounted for the majority of our cases. They are the highest risk! How they can refuse to be tested is beyond me!

Should consider the same requirements as someone who previously tested positive; 14 days quarantine plus two consecutive negative test results (done at say 10 and 12 days so the result is known for day 14) and they're free to go.

It's a bit harsh, but if they represent the vast majority of the risk of new cases once the community side is sorted, then it's a pretty effective way to allow life internally within Australia to be back to normal.

Would you prefer Donald's test less so we have less official cases idea?
But on the flipside, when you ask your residents to undertake a massive testing regime so you can find if there are any hidden cases out there and they respond, don't go throwing the toys out of the cot threatening lockdowns and police action when those hidden cases pop up. That is a campaigner act.
