On Wednesday, more than 5,500 people with Covid-19 were in hospital – a jump of 9 per cent from last week, according to PA news agency, and the highest level since mid-March.


But although hospitalisations have begun to climb in recent days, numbers remain low compared to the peaks of the UK’s first and second waves, when fewer people were fully vaccinated.


The highest number of people in hospital with Covid-19 in England at any time during the pandemic was recorded on 18 January 2021 and topped 34,000.

Yep it was would be very hard to take if it happens but given fathers day weekend coming up and some "decent" weather , with people already travelling to regional areas it will not shock me. I know two venues down this way that say they have refused service to at least 20 patrons who reside in a non regional area.

I continually see this posted and it is infuriating.

The vaccination isn't made to stop you transmitting it.

It is made to assist in preventing you getting sick to the point you need hospitalisation or worse DEATH. The proof is in the pudding. No one has died In Australia who has had a double dose of a vaccine.

if you get the FLU Vaccine, you can still get the flu and pass it on. You just likely wont die from it.

The sooner morons get the vaccine, the sooner we can ******* move on from this sh*t show.

What should they actually exclude people from doing?
Their job? Supermarkets? Should they be in permanent home detention?
Min security prison?

And then want level of booster is required? Does a triple vax deseve deserve more rights than a double vax?

Boosters are now required overseas. How many keep you protected? Sounds like the biggest moving goal post ever.
How long do they actually provide protection for? Are they indefinite (seems so according to that trusted flip flipper Fauci) for us to live our lives ?

And Pfizer are saying the 3rd shot shows “favourable results” re safety? How ? They’ve barely given the heaviest vaxxed places 2 shots?
What test studies show 3 jabs are safe and effective? They could only be a couple weeks along that trail.

And then there is our govt saying even when we get to 80% and no cases we still have restrictions.

I didn't say anything about passports?

All I said was that employers should be given the right to dismiss people who don't want to get the vaccine (without legitimate medical reasons) without having to face discrimination backslash. Some business may not care as their business is not disrupted by lockdowns, where others for example are, IE Aviation, Hospitality etc are.

In terms of what the vaccine level should be that can easily be given as guidance by Health bodies, IE 2 initial doses and then a yearly booster for example.
