Tom Hanks & his wife at Gold Coast hospital with Corona Virus. No word yet on the condition of Wilson. WIIILLLLSSSOOOOOOOONNN!!!!!
Assuming they've just flown in from the US.
For the first time I'm starting to doubt the season will start.
Funnily enough I think that works out better for Europe than the USA, given there seems to be more undetected spread in America.

For sure.It won't and it's silly if it does.
Hey if you spew up though you'll know its nor Coronavirus. Likely Wallaceitis. If I can’t go to the Gabba to watch Lions v North I will just about go catatonic!
The US response to this point has been consistent, complete failure: things are going to get much worse there, quickly.Funnily enough I think that works out better for Europe than the USA, given there seems to be more undetected spread in America.
Great to see that most of the new cases here continue to be from the US. Will continue to be a big problem I suspect. The US response to this point has been consistent, complete failure: things are going to get much worse there, quickly.
I just can't believe how stupid some of the things that the CMO of Victoria said in that interview were.Brett Sutton on Whateley (12/03/20)

This article on the affect of CV on remote communities is pretty chilling.
'Mayhem looms just around the corner': diary from the frontline of the coronavirus health crisis
We don’t have enough staff or resources, and our remoteness means that help can’t easily be brought in. And who would want to come anyway?www.theguardian.com
There has been more money thrown at the Aboriginal issue than any other social issue in this country. That’s the worst thing I’ve read/heard about in reference to this epidemic. It’s unacceptable and politicians of all types have failed these people over very long periods of time.
The only hope is to completely isolate these communities, which is unpalatable for lots of reasons, the least of which is it would essentially be equivalent to turning the communities in a 12-18month jails.
It’s just plain wrong.
Ok here goes.About 1100 hundred people died of the flu a few years ago in Australia. Can't be bothered to look up the actual stats but all you can. It was a worse year then usual. More used to die of the flu when I was back at Uni (ISTR, just made that up 'I seem to remember') so this coronavirus thing is not anywhere as dangerous as the flu on evidence up to now.
One thing for sure. If typhus or cholera hits our shores the stores will sell out of nasal tissues rather than poo paper!!!!!!
I plan to self medicate on Ruherglen Muscat
Hahaha I’ve brought flights, accomodation and tickets for this game... ohh well just have to get drunk in my hotel room insteadIf I can’t go to the Gabba to watch Lions v North I will just about go catatonic!
I don't see where we have instituted any containment measures at all . Quite the reverse ,we had the PM telling people to go to the footy.Ok here goes.
There were ~298,000 laboratory confirmed cases of the flu during last years official flu season, April 1st to October 6, in Australia.
There were 812 deaths from the flu during that period.
That is a mortality rate of 0.27 percent.
Link is on the second page for these figures.
We haven’t as yet had coronavirus run through our country.
Right now our State Governments are doing their very best to contain the virus to slow it down.
It will get loose eventually. I’ve no idea when (my guess is Easter), or how many people will contract the virus (not even going to try to guess).
There were more than twice as many new cases reported today in Australia than yesterday. From 12 to 28.
At the moment it appears the virus doubles in number every six days.
As for evidence.
Italy is by far the worst effected country outside of China.
Italy so far has a mortality rate of 6.64 percent from 12,462 cases. 827 dead.Italy COVID - Coronavirus Statistics - Worldometer

South Korea is possibly a better example for us, as they instituted very effective containment measures very fast.
To date, South Korea has had 66 deaths from 7869 cases. That’s a mortality rate of 0.84 percent.South Korea COVID - Coronavirus Statistics - Worldometer

I understand where you’re coming from.I don't see where we have instituted any containment measures at all . Quite the reverse ,we had the PM telling people to go to the footy.
And the moron in Vic wants to press ahead with the GP.
In a few weeks , probably less , that's going to look appalling .
I just can't believe how stupid some of the things that the CMO of Victoria said in that interview were.
Evidence in EVERY country shows that once the virus is in if you wait until you see instances of community contagion it's far too late.
Heaven help us . Is he under researched ,paid ,or just thick ??
