Yeah What was Your Speed Mixed with ??? Must have been Crap

Hey Buddy i know for a Fact many people, where i live work long hours & people stay up all night & go to work without any sleep, take this drug to keep them going all day mate.

There not shakey at all & are quite allert to what they are doing thats why they take the Drug & thats its harder to detect when tested so get ya Facts Right mate.

It's an enhansing Drug.
Here have a Read mate http://www.urban75.com/Drugs/drugspeed.html
mate, I'm betting none of your mates run 15km+ in a few hours, extending their cardio vascular system to the limits, while on speed. You are seriously deluded if you think you can take an enhancing amount of speed and then run around and push your heart to it's limits. Unless you have a death wish. Go ahead and try it sometime though, it'd be natural selection in action.

Yes it makes you more alert (though in a grand final I don't think you could be much more alert), but you'd also find your heart going at least 30-40 bpm higher at rest, I don't even want to know what would happen after a gut busting run, it wouldn't be pretty that's for sure.

and as far as making you shaky, it's a known side effect to high doses of any amphetamine, take a look sometime.
from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphetamine
"When the drug is abused effects could include involuntary bodily movements, hyperhidrosis, hyperactivity, jitteriness...."
Just Face the Facts Your Team's in the Sh***t & you know it.
WTF has this comment got to do with the rest of the post? talk about a stupid end to a reasonable discussion.

Doesn't make sense..... if Cousins had a long term illegal drug problem...ie: an addiction....he would have gotten caught out by the tests long time ago. (isn't the three strikes rule only for the off-season?)

A problem with alcohol? possibly

Most likely the breakup with the girlfriend has led to a terrible bender mixed with alcohol and drugs. The eagles management seeing the signs takes preemptive action and suspends him.

Went on a preseason trip!:D

I wouldn't surprise me if he's back by round 4, the guys an idiot but I think he's smart enough to realise the consequences of not cleaning his act up. I'm sure he will do what he has to do to get back in the side. ....
It'll have more to do with WCE bending over backwards to get him back in than Cousins miraculously coming to his senses.

For his and football's sake, I sincerely hope this is the case, ie: that this is all there is to it.

The odds are...

* Cousins already got positive test results days ago, not when the story broke.
* Already moved in with his parents weeks ago to resolve his issues.
* That before then is why Judd had been withholding signing due to the WCE lack of management in sorting Cousins out. Threatening the sitting out.
* Hence why Cousins has been suspended.
* Hence why AFL already know the results.
* Hence why Judd signs on.

The West Australian claims Ben's dad is seeking legal action against the club for suspending him. It shows his parents obviously aren't "working with the Eagles" and are possibly in denial?

He may have been; The club/AFL only get informed if a third positive occurs.

Just hypothetically, if he had tested positive once already, was tested on Monday and the Eagles figure that's going to be 2 strikes, by suspending him indefinitely from training, does he become inaccessible to the testers? Can the Eagles claim he's "gone to ground" and not know of his whereabouts, thereby preventing a (possible) third strike?

Also is this now considered "in season" and what are the penalties?

I think they want him on full pay, and the Eagles are said to be refusing to pay him.

As I said before if Cousins quits football he has to get another job cos hes blown all his money. The plan with Cousins was always to pay him massive sums near the end of his career. This year he was going to be earning between 600-700k for the season. I guess his dad wants him to get some savings if he doesnt ever return..

The best thing to come out of all of this is some clarification of the drug laws ...and how unwieldy they are

6pr keep banging on about 3rd strike hes gone blah blah...now unless they knew the test was an AFL one then they are incorrect...the only test I heard of was a club sanctioned test, and as a club sanctioned test it is not subject to AFL scrutiny

It also opens up the idea that for the sake of the player he should not be tested by the AFL ( my opinion) until 8 weeks before he is due to return..ie the club says his return will be 8 weeks from this date and the AFL test him and clear him

can I just go through all the rumours and cr@p we've got in this thread so far:

- last but not least, everyone has the inside scoop, and we haven't heard the last of it! But we can't say anything until after it comes out, then we'll strut around saying we already knew about that days ago.
you provided a pretty good summary. sadly, on your last point, there is a lot that can't be posted, and some people on these threads are giving out accurate information if you can read between the lines. simple as that. the mods do a great job of keeping unsubstantiated stuff out of these threads, but sometimes it means that people who know stuff but can't substantiate are forced to withhold detail.

would you "give up" a source inside the club for the benefit of BF readers? didn't think so.
