Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

the same reaction you would get from that chick saying "wanna lick these".

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

Their is no reason why we should take him back.

But ... i WANT him back. Because I flat out love the guy.

I dont for one second think it's a reality though. Even if the players, coaches and fans want it. Barnaba wont listen. It sucks but he will be running around in other colours next season :(

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

Important is that Cousins should come back as a footballer.
He is a great midfielder and he knows it himself. Buy why not coming
back to the eagles?
@jod23 Tell me a reason why not take him back? You saw the crowd last year after he came back to play. I bet you were the 1st one who would cry when he plays in an other team and playing against us and even winning against us. Of course time have to move on. But i think he can still help us in the Midfield.

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

I am ready to hear, recieve and accept an apology anytime now from Big Man and Larrikan who both as much as called me a liar when i posted on another thread about a week ago this exact same infothat it was reported on 6PR that the entire football dept side of west coast would be happy to have Cousins back but the it was the admin side and Barnaba in particular who were dead set against it.

I'm happy to accept an apology and an admission that you were wrong at anytime boys.

No, you said everyone but Barnaba was happy to have him back

Don't twist the facts now

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

this is where we the fans need to play our part.

we must DEMAND that he comes home.

make some noise people.

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Hows that?

PS: i want him back. We are West Coast - Stuff the rest :thumbsu:

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

I tried to call the club but no success. Office closed on weekends, could not leave voice mail. I emailed them at the corporate address. Admin something. Asked for partition details. Never know someone there may want him back also. We got to move quick though.

Oh heres an idea. When the tribute match is on get a full house to Subi and have MASSIVE reinstate Cuz banners with you all. That is a sign to all the club that we want him back.

Go boys :)

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

WOW. That is all you can really say to the reaction of people on this board at the news that a coach has made himself look like the hero because he said he would have Cousins back. Knowing full well it is never going to happen.

You can see from the attitudes here why Cousins got into this situation in the first place. Everyone is prepared to turn a blind eye just as long as he can play footy at West Coast.

If he was your average street junkie, none of you would even give him the time of day. But he can kick a football, so all is forgiven.

None of you want what is best for Ben Cousins, which is to get away from the environment (ie Perth) where his problems grew into an addiction.

He has said he needs to get out of Perth, but you lot, selfish to the core, want him to stay. Not because it is what is best for him, but because you are romantic fools who think the situation deserves a fairytale ending, and dont want him to play for anyone else!

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

There is a key difference between Cousins playing for the Eagles and for 15 other clubs. Sanctions.

These sanctions are still hanging over our head, so if we pick him up and he errs again, then we are done for. He can go to any other club and there are no threats of sanctions, so he could stuff up once and they get rid of him, no sanctions, no after effect. This is the reason he will not end up at the eagles. Although I am all for it, logic just says it can't happen, unless we force the AFL to remove the sanctions.

Chrsco, could not disagree with you more.

If the AFL clear BC to play, permission is thereby given to all clubs to consider picking him. I would suggest it to be "legally impossible" for the AFL to make any special rule for WCE and not apply it to all other clubs.

Furthermore if a cleared BC relapses, after being permitted to play by AFL, no legal way could they penalise WCE, despite these so called sanctions, without incurring similar penalties to any other club.

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

Just got asked the question..not a case closed from his side possibly..could he really, really return?

yea saw that too and thought he would say no he woudnt come back to us but then he kinda didnt awnser the question. so that means he still has a chance of coming back:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

He certainly didnt rule it out. In fact started the answer by saying that "I always wanted to be a one club player"..but then... "but I understand my unique circumstances and that the club has to move on..and, I have to move on too"...

Re: Sumich and Worsfold would welcome back Cousins...

Something is brewing behind closed doors, otherwise atleast one of the sides would have ruled it out publicly. He actually said yes, West Coast would be a club he'd consider. That is not an answer even I had realistically expected from him.
