I'm quite enjoying it tbh.No sympathy from me. It has got much more air time than it deserves. So much Shiite going on around the world and we have to watch this story in every news break.

You’d be better off watching those dancing poodlesI'm quite enjoying it tbh.
Djokovic has a different take on many things, but calling him a sh*t bloke is pretty average after he’s helped raised funds for the Queensland floods and the 2020 Australian bushfires.

That data for new cases is actually incorrect - yesterday we only had 30,851 cases, not 51,356. The remaining 20,505 cases were positive RA tests from between the 1st and 6th of Jan, reported to the DH just yesterday.
Not too sure where you are getting your figures from but my post is from the Official Victorian Department of Health Twitter acc.
I didn't post the full tweet yesterday, just the graphic which clearly has the split of PCR & RA tests totalling 51,136.
From yesterday:-
New cases: 51,356
- Rapid antigen test cases: 26,428 (backlog of rats)
- PCR test cases: 24,928
The numbers from your post yesterday included positive RAT results from the 1st-6th of January, meaning that the actual number of cases on the 7th was 30,851 and not 51,356.
You know things are bad when they start using 'embattled'.If the following letters were sent then surely TA has f’ed up if they didn’t make this clear to all players.Open boss Tiley says TA followed advice
Embattled Australian Open boss Craig Tiley claims the organisation followed instructions despite leaving world No.1 Novak Djokovic in danger of deportation.7news.com.au
“Two letters sent by the Department of Health in November to Tiley reiterated that unvaccinated players couldn't use a COVID-19 infection within the last six months as grounds for a medical exemption when entering Australia.”
Isn't that what I mentioned above (backlog of RATS)
No point in carrying on about it when I posted a direct tweet from the Official Victorian Department of Health Twitter acc.
They were just providing extra context (important context too).
No doubt TA have sent advice that is contrary to those letters - but that’s not all the advice that was given … only the stuff that’s been leaked by the feds that fits their narrative. If the following letters were sent then surely TA has f’ed up if they didn’t make this clear to all players.Open boss Tiley says TA followed advice

I've only seen basic ICU Vaccination stats and they haven't been updated for couple of weeks.Do they tell you whether those on ventilators are vaccinated?
I have seen that they include those with a single dose as being unvax now.I've only seen basic ICU Vaccination stats and they haven't been updated for couple of weeks.

So what do they class as fully vaxed now? Is it two doses plus booster or is it still just 2 doses?
What I see is that they keep changing the goal posts to suit their message.
Hopefully the states are using ATAGI definition rather than just making up their own so that they can acquire more resources.TBH I'm not sure. ATAGI def is still only two doses, but maybe in future fully vaccinated will be regarded as those that have had the booster as well?

VIc Gov just announced in media now, certain industries/employees will need to have booster by certain date (differs depending on second booster timeline), so in answer to one of your questions, it looks like a third booster will be required to be regarded as fully vaccinated.Hopefully the states are using ATAGI definition rather than just making up their own so that they can acquire more resources.
As a data analyst it is annoying that the numbers are given without context or definition. Thus they are just numbers.
It's likely, I think, that eventually it will be a yearly vaccination like we do with influenza. Some new variants or even new diseases will require an extra one or two during the year.TBH I'm not sure. ATAGI def is still only two doses, but maybe in future fully vaccinated will be regarded as those that have had the booster as well?
This hasn't changed at all.... Though I believe it will in the future to account for boosters.
Prob two possibilities.Supposedly tested positive and a day later went to an event with children in attendance... sh*t bloke. A multimillionaire engaging in occassional PR philanthropy doesn't absolve them.
