If the following letters were sent then surely TA has ****ed up if they didn’t make this clear to all players.

“Two letters sent by the Department of Health in November to Tiley reiterated that unvaccinated players couldn't use a COVID-19 infection within the last six months as grounds for a medical exemption when entering Australia.”

That data for new cases is actually incorrect - yesterday we only had 30,851 cases, not 51,356. The remaining 20,505 cases were positive RA tests from between the 1st and 6th of Jan, reported to the DH just yesterday.

No doubt TA have sent advice that is contrary to those letters - but that’s not all the advice that was given … only the stuff that’s been leaked by the feds that fits their narrative.

I have seen that they include those with a single dose as being unvax now.
So what do they class as fully vaxed now? Is it two doses plus booster or is it still just 2 doses?
What I see is that they keep changing the goal posts to suit their message.

TBH I'm not sure. ATAGI def is still only two doses, but maybe in future fully vaccinated will be regarded as those that have had the booster as well?

This hasn't changed at all.... Though I believe it will in the future to account for boosters.

VIc Gov just announced in media now, certain industries/employees will need to have booster by certain date (differs depending on second booster timeline), so in answer to one of your questions, it looks like a third booster will be required to be regarded as fully vaccinated.

It's likely, I think, that eventually it will be a yearly vaccination like we do with influenza. Some new variants or even new diseases will require an extra one or two during the year.

The goal for any health system would be long-lasting vaccinations so we will gravitate towards that with new vaccines.

After the booster shot, received a new digital certificate with an updated date.

Immunisation history statement adds the date & shot type.

Prob two possibilities.

#1: Tested positive and doesnt care
#2: Wasnt really positive - but a positive test result gets you to the tennis tournament you want to go to -- $$$$

I did think it was remarkably opportune to contract Covid in mid December.
