You don’t get it, people are unhappy because he went hard on lockdown and yet gives a free pass to protestors (both cfmeu and BLM) and goes totally lax with quarantine measures. As much as I call out DA, you protect him, then you’ll scram “Oh, I am no fanboy”. Gralin, you are every bit a little lefty fan boy of DA, I’m not sure why you just don’t own it.
Every state did the same thing with lockdowns and allowing protests.
There were 5G protest as well. Protests against Asylum seekers being locked up in hotels.

Not just the two protests you take issue with and not just the one state.

You think anyone who doesn't agree with you is automatically a fan of Dan.

I'm a lefty, that doesn't mean I'm fan of Andrews or the ALP.

Saying the issue is more complex than your blaming of everything on him and his political affiliations isn't anything more than that.

I wouldn’t waste my breath mate. He’s in the “it’s only the flu” camp. On Tige19’s watch, there wouldn’t even be a quarantine for inbound travellers.

These stats are from the ABS, make of it what you will, however I think there are far greater things for us to be spending our lives and vast sums of money worrying about.

Saying the issue is more complex than your blaming of everything on him and his political affiliations isn't anything more than that.

He is head of state, it starts and ends with him, like it or not, that’s the by product of leadership. He blames everyone else other than himself or his other “leaders”, he is a horrible example of what a good leader should be.

He needs to read the book “Extreme Ownership”, he is nothing what that book represents.

So stop making stupid predictions..
In that case, why were you looking for evidence of long term effects:

I have read literature on prolonged ventilator use, and I agree there is a body of evidence that there are long term issues associated. But, that is not a direct virus issue, that is a side effect of treatment, much like when cancer sufferers suffer from side effects of chemo.

I am yet to find anything concrete studies/literature that states with any certainty that Covid19 causes long term health issues. Those that have minor cases (90%) won’t need hospitalisation, why would you assume they will suffer adverse effects for years to come?

Every single professional has guessed and hypothesised about Covid and next to none of them have even been close to the realities, forgive me for not believing anything anyone says about this.

I'm sorry, but you're not making much sense ATM

So, Mikakos has known about the mess in the hotels since May !!

Stuff due process. She is done.

lone of the executives at work is a NSW liberal party member and was telling me a few weeks ago that guards were having sex with guests. I was telling him no way, that’s just garbage and yet here we are. It’s been known for a number of weeks. The impacts on people’s lives are far reaching for this stuff up. How Andrews still has a job is beyond me.

So stop making stupid predictions..

scientists are using the outcomes from previous coronavirus outbreaks with similar DNA to predict what it may look like going forward

As you would expect there is nothing definitive as yet

A sample article that may or may not interest you

You just need to look around on this forum... Those that speak loudest think they are the one and true voice, my inbox is full, chock full of messages from posters who prefer not to speak up (in fear of being ridiculed) and/or have been banned for acting/posting in a way that the more liberal posters around here do, but due to the place being moderated by progressives they get banned. I wish more would speak up.

You clearly haven’t been to the SRP board. Lots of people exercising their right to free speech, if not critical thinking.

Of course people believe they ban is a blow to free speech, like they're the cautionary tale from a Jordan Petersen talk. No one is going to admit their ban is due to their bad behaviour.

And it is due to bad behaviour. I’ve never banned a person I’m arguing with.

Yep - true free speech is dead, but that's probably worth another thread in itself. I saw a great video the other day on cultural Marxism - pm inbound.

Free speech is alive and so are the consequences of free speech.

Are you confusing disagreement with censorship?

It's dependent if you align with the mods narrative.

If the mods not offended.. it's then classified as non-offensive even if it's offensive to others.

"I call "fascism" any doctrine that, whether admittedly or not, pursues the devaluation of the individual, in such a way that the individual becomes nothing, or else something insignificant or bad and henceforth its suppression seems legitimate"

-Michael Henry- From Communism to Capitalism: Theory of a Catastrophe

If you think this is fascism, you’ve lost your way. This is the Internet.

I'm not confused at all. I respect people's right to be wrong.... But the self obsessed, entitled, and mentally feeble, dont like it when others express a different view to theirs.... The silent majority kind of work that one out...

So where is free speech buried then? I’ll send flowers.

Years of Potential Life Lost (YPLL) for leading causes, 2018 (a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)(g)(h)
Graph: Years of Potential Life Lost (YPLL) for leading causes, 2018
None of those things has the potential for exponential growth that could overwhelm the medical system. The recent outbreak in Victoria shows that the virus is EXTREMELY contagious. It looks like the mortality rate with good health care is in the region of 1%. If our medical systems were overwhelmed that might rise to 5% or more.

Do the maths. If we ignored the virus and made no attempt at controlling it, we could lose a million or more people in the space of a year. How does that compare to the numbers you posted?

You clearly haven’t been to the SRP board. Lots of people exercising their right to free speech, if not critical thinking.

Of course people believe they ban is a blow to free speech, like they're the cautionary tale from a Jordan Petersen talk. No one is going to admit their ban is due to their bad behaviour.

And it is due to bad behaviour. I’ve never banned a person I’m arguing with.

Free speech is alive and so are the consequences of free speech.

Are you confusing disagreement with censorship?

If you think this is fascism, you’ve lost your way. This is the Internet.

So you didn’t act on the multiple reports of Taitas constant abuse? Are you happy for me to post screen grabs of them, there’s plenty.

In that case, why were you looking for evidence of long term effects:

I'm sorry, but you're not making much sense ATM

I don’t even know who you are, new?

My post makes sense, it’s you who does not understand.

The use of ventilators covers many health ailments that effect breathing and lungs, the use of ventilators is a mechanism or treatment, it is not the virus. The overwhelming majority of people will never need a ventilator, thus there’s no point in making a direct correlation to Covid. I was asking, what literature is there that shows Covid causes long term health issues as a matter of fact? Particularly because 90% will never need hospitalisation or further treatment.

People/professionals (so called professionals) have simply guessed their way through this, embarrassingly so I might add.

Stop making fools of yourself and accept you know 2c of bugger all, the hypothesis going on is simply dart throwing.

Another guess, dart throw, all done with your eyes shut. Just stop it.

We have had “exponential” growth in Victoria the last 4 weeks, we have had 1 death, it’s far less than 1% (Let alone the inherently ridiculous 5% you mentioned) as a CFR. Stop talking complete and utter tripe.

So this is why the postcode lockdown and do's and dont's have little logic to me.

Yesterday we had our branch meeting , not in hot spot area.
12 employees , all social distance etc
7 from non hot spot areas
5 from hot spot areas

I just don't see how that can be logical solution. People ( myself ) from hot spots can travel for work through and too hot spot and non hot spot areas .

Yet now its the weekend , I can only go to the shops if it's essential but thats really it.

The other guys at work have limitations but can see friends/family , go to a cafe etc .
After they have been working with people from hot spots.

I know there isnt a perfect solution ( bar vaccine ) but really how is this scenerio helping .

Stop been argumentative. We have isolated the most vulnerable people and the vast majority of people are complying with social distancing. The death rate is NOT independent of social distancing. Is that difficult for you to understand? If it is, you have no business citing literature or demanding people produce papers because you do so without a fundamental grasp of the foundation of science.

If it doesn’t work, they will have to confine people to homes so tell everyone you know to practice social distancing and stay home it sick.

I’m not a science nerd, but I don’t need to be one to understand a 600 case increase in 3 Weeks (you do the %) is substantiated enough to call it “exponential”.

Bris, so with that sharp rise, how has the CFR fared? We have had exponential growth and no increase in CFR, in fact, it’s gone backwards.. sharply.
