I apologise too mate, I think everyone is just stressed/under pressure given everything going on and the time of year.
I get triggered by the whole black and white of it all

Something I need to work on hard. Or read less.

So grateful that gyms aren't locked down / restricted. It's keeping me sane'ish

What did they do that went against the national strategy?

Reading through the report, it seems their big stuff up was getting private security firms to provide the main security functions at the hotels.

The report doesn’t say that was against the national strategy and I really doubt the national strategy was that prescriptive and went to that level of detail.

I could be wrong but didn't we do the same thing?

He was actively encouraging people to go to the football when he should have been telling people to stay home
In fairness, he was just trying to flatten the curve. (by increasing the low parts of it rather than by decreasing the peak. Credit to him for thinking outside the box)

Can't have COVID deaths if they die from other causes first.

As much as I'm a d1ck about the whole safe wa app and not signing in etc and that I would never isolate or admit to being in a high risk spot....

I'd like to think that when push came to shove, I'm full of hot air and I'd (begrudgingly) do the right thing.

I know everyone is shaking hands and being friends for the next couple of minutes, but that attitude still blows my mind.

It's heartening to know that even some of the biggest critics of the system would still begrudgingly do the right thing if contacted as a close contact.

Slightly less hearting once you realise the sentiment is irrelevant for anyone who makes themselves untraceable in the first place.

Fair enough.

Just my deep down core beliefs to question anyone in authority.

And I'm not a hippie, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I guess ultimately, the selfishness that there are likely to be little to no cases so why bother?

Anyway, don't want to go down another rabbit hole.

I use the word begrudgingly because no wants to isolate at home for 2 weeks. No one, unless absolutely necessary.

I hope that makes sense.

Don't think there's anything really wrong with questioning authority and having a healthy dose of skepticism.
IMO though (and I know it won't be popular with some around here) McGowan is one of the most genuine politicians going around and I think he legitimately wants whats best for the people of this state.

It does. I get that part. It pretty much goes without saying, I think.

I've got a mouth and that's where the beer comes in.

Situation in Xi'an China is very concerning

7th straight day of lockdowns in a city of 13M. Many unable to leave homes and reliant on deliveries of necessities.

Europe, yeah wow......

In case we do all get covid at some point - interesting study on using mouthwash to help kill off the virus in your throat.
Sounds like it's time to stockpile Listerine next to the toilet paper.

Also smash VitD , Zinc and salt water nasal flushes .

If that doesn't work you could always try pfizermectum
