Hi all,

Lets keep this thread clutter free if we can

Of course discuss but try to stay on course with what is actually happening and not disappeear down the rabbit hole as it were

Its vitally important that we vax

Pretty tired of idiots stating otherwise

The little things we can do to make our surroundings more hygienic help reduce the spread of this terrible virus and if everybody vaxxes then we are less likely to have problems.

Some people, of course cant afford a vax wet and dry vacuum so id suggest buying a cheaper model if thats the case. Bunnings have a decent range at a more friendly price point and one can sterilise ones floor whilst deep cleaning jusr as well.

Unintentional derail but I bought a Vax from Bunnings and it was terrible. Sweeping the carpet is cheaper and far more effective. If you're going to buy a vacuum cleaner, save your pennies an buy something decent. Of course, this doesn't really help anyone on the medical front.

Some observations and questions relating to the recent WA local Covid transmission:
1. The physiotherapist back from NSW has infected a few fellow gym members but not her own family. Does it mean gym environment is more favourable for Covid transmission? (heavier breathing, more sweat and aerosol, weaker heart conditions ? )
2. Interstate travellers back from states with known local transmission (but not yet lockdown like NSW in this case) are free to go wherever and do whatever without restriction at the moment. Should WA in the future impose some restrictions to those returned interstate travellers. For example:
a. They have to wear mask in the public for 14 days.
b. They are not allowed in restaurant for 14 days (but allows drive through or take away with mask on).
c. Eating and drinking in work place requires isolation or be in an outdoor with distancing from the others.
d. No vigorious exercise allowed and hence mask must be on during exercise.
e. Test Covid negative in the 14 days.

Of course, these only apply to interstate travellers back from states with known local transmission but without lockdown in place. This only causes minor inconvience to a few people but benefits the whole WA and better still minimises future lockdowns.

I think some of those things are a sensible balance between risk management and avoiding hard quarantine, which can be overkill (as someone who has narrowly avoided quarantine a couple of times in these circumstances what you outlined would be far preferable).

That is a very good sign. Yesterday they said about 1/3 of the couple of thousand direct and casual contacts has tested negative. By today they should have received test results for nearly all of the others. If none of them test positive then we should be looking pretty clear.
