Don't suffer in silence, reach out to people if you need someone to talk to. :hearts:

"Coronavirus WA Update: No new cases of COVID-19 in WA" https://amp.9news.com.au/article/db34e38f-f7c6-421f-91f4-d984d388958a

Looks like early action with short restrictions or short lockdown to control and limit transmission is better than slow or no action until a long lockdown is required (like Victoria second wave last year and now NSW)

As long as you get the first/second generation then quick lockdown should snuff it out. We've been lucky to pick it up quickly each time here (though the hotel quarantine failures in Jan and Apr were more a case of mis-management).

Syndey will get on track soon though. Their two week lockdown should bring things in line and will prob then need a few weeks of lesser restrictions to sort it out.

At least their dailey cases have remained roughly the same give or take. With the Melbourne one last year every couple of doubles it was nearly doubling for weeks.

Yeah, but 12 of the 22 cases today have been out in the community (which hasn't been the case on previous days - not to that extent). 3-4 days time will be the key.

its alright mate. i had been keeping a brave face for months being positive and such but sunday night i broke down. missus just rather puzzled from my reaction considering how stoic i had been but was quite comforting. the thought of going through another lockdown and another period of restrictions just became overwhelmingly hard with everything else i have to deal with on a day to day basis. to make it worse the fact that no govt is taking pro actions to sorting it out made me feel really down.

if you are feeling down or heavy speak to someone about it. itll get you worse if you dont deal with it.

Apparently the partner from the Indian ocean case. To be expected and this person has been in isolation since Sunday so thats good news.

At a guess i think we will step it down with masks as a requirement and the 2 square meter rule at venues.

Yeah, surely if that's the only case, lockdowns won't be extended.

It's the same scenario as a returned traveller testing positive while in isolation.

I guess the only sticking point is that this is the delta strain.
