HB: Smith Talia Reilly
C: Mackay Thompson Sloane

No Douglas = laughably bad.

Douglas > Smith, Petrnko, Mackay, Wright, Knights & Henderson for starters. Shuffle them all down a slot and see who drops out.

Would be more than happy to give Bling a run of half back for a period also give him short spurts through the midfield.
Jaensch in my opinion could easily slot into the role of Wright.

Righteo this year Petrenko, Mackay and wright have all been better than Douglas with smith equal to. (in no order)
Petrenko has played a unique role, one which Douglas cannot match. We'll put him aside for now.

Of the others, Douglas has been better than Mackay, Wright and Smith. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is kidding themselves.

I agree that Douglas at his best is easily in the 22. But on current form he isnt...

do you think jenkins will be recalled this week?
You would think Smack will get dropped on his performance (and I use that term lightly) and Jenkins for mine is the clear replacement.
But if Tippett comes up he can go throught the ruck and they could bring in someone like Lynch as an extra forward.

what about knights? due for a recall after 33 possesions for west torrens?

I think so,
This week possible changes
Out: Smack, Martin, Shaw (injured)
In: Jenkins, Knights, Johncock
I think those possible changes are great if that happens. Who would get the sub? The crows will be much stronger for it and will bounce back. Also, I hope the team stays like that for the rest of the season. A certain degree of stability added to the team would be most beneficial.

i think johncock is a better candidate for the vest as he is more of an impact player and when he is fresh and everyone else on the field is a little tired, he can absolutely carve up play

Theres a big difference between what Douglas is capable of and what he has been producing.
On his last month of footy. He hasn't done enough for mine.
On his last 2 years of footy more likely....and anyone who suggests Dougie is better than any of Smith, Mackay and Wright is kidding themselves (and clearly hasn't been watching games closely). We will never go anywhere with spuds like this guy - definitely not best 22 - nothing more than depth, as per Symes.

We went 5-1 with No Douglas.

Whatever... have him in your 22, argue he is better than Petrenko, Knights Jaensch... I don't care. But let's not pretend he has a major impact on our team. His presence is completely incidental.

I don't think this is right. He's pretty much bang on his career averages.

What he is producing now is what we're going to get.

Any word on Shaw? Would hate him to go out again with injury. Has teased this season but it's been one step forward, one step back.

My team...

I want Brodie Smith in there. Our midfield doesn't run quite deep enough with top level talent. Getting him up to speed is close to priority #1 as far as I'm concerned. He was doing a reasonable job on half back and earning his stripes against some quality opponents.

I prefer Jenkins to McKernan.

I want Johncock down back.

So that's three in with Douglas, Doughty and McKernan going out.

F Callinan Walker Porplyzia
HF Vince Tippett Wright
C Mackay Dangerfield Sloane
HB Reilly Talia Smith
B Johncock Rutten Shaw
1R Jacobs Thompson van Berlo
INT Jenkins Petrenko Jaensch (Martin)

Um please list the good games Douglas has played this year??? Not even close to Wright, Mackay or Smith. I'm not saying he cant be a handy player but has shown nothing this season.

We need to get Johncock, Henderson and Smith back in the side ASAP

FB: Smith Rutten Otton
HB: Reilly Talia Henderson
C: McKay Thompson VanBerlo
HF: Porplyzia Tippett Petrenko
FF: Douglas Walker Vince
R: Jacobs Dangerfield Thiompson

Bench: Lynch Callinan Wright (Johncock)

Highlighted Players, are in mine at the moment but are a match or 2 away from being out.

The players looking for that spot:
3rd tall Back: Shaw
Small Back: Jaensch
Ruck/Forward Option: Jenkins
Midfield: Knights Lyons

Never Ever Agains:
Tambling Symes Riley Martin Doughty Smack

I wish we could have 2 Thomopsons but Im guessing one of them is Sloane?
I would also swap Johncock and Otten.

We have a winner. I think some posters are forgetting how good Wright has been this year, he was crucial in our win against Freo. Yes he had a stinker on the weekend but do did most of our players.

sando has just announced that johncock and knights are "in the mix" you little beauty. sando is turning out allright, hes allright after all! go sando
