Who'll be the first organisation to allow hidden cameras, rooms to be bugged etc without telling their players, coaches and staff?

Maybe a club that's battling financially and desperate
I hear Port players dont mind a bit of camera work

Interesting that the documentary starts as Season 1 Episode 1.
Is it intended to run for several seasons - a bit like Last Chance U??

I swear last year when this was announced they said all teams will eventually get featured but I'm not sure anymore. Cos Cardone has said nothing is confirmed for future series. They are not following anyone around this year.

Would not be surprised if AFC feature in future series if there is one, as we have the re-build story going.

They'll probably wait to see whether people actually watch this series before investing in a second

We pushed him out. He was not offered a contract during 2020, Brad himself said so on AA a few times. If we offered a contract he would be here.

As good as his stats show, the St Kilda offer was poor for a mid in his prime years and no other club offered better. We got third band compo for him. Not borderline 1/2.

This could be either because of off field issues.

Or the industry sees him as a guy who gets a lot of the ball, but has limited hurt factor and his salary reflects this.

This is more likely than off field issues.

I still think he is a good mid and like 2017 he will go well at the Saints. He is not a guy you build a midfield around, but he is complimentary to a good midfield. In 2017 he worked well with a younger Sloane and pre Hamstring issues Matt Crouch. At St Kilda he will have that support.

Much like Cossie who can't hold an innings together on his own. But when he has confidence in knowing his batting partners are capable of sticking around his natural attacking game will flourish.

so the geniuses at our club pushed him out after spending a year devaluing him, the previous year’s B&F winner?

im surprised we haven’t had a crack at the Unified Field Theory, with the MENSA candidates running our club

Plus everyone loves a good dumpster fire.
It's actually a fair point.

They follow us and it shows the return to form..... Or it goes the way of Sunderland Til I Die and we implode further.

Interesting reading Alan Stewart who many on here seem to have in the "guru" status re football I.Q. Seems he valued Brad way more than some on this site as well.

This article from late September 2020, especially on contracts....I wonder if it's pertaining to Rory Sloane and Wayne Milera?

When the AFL flag was unfurled at Alberton, Stewart crossed Port Road to join the Adelaide Football Club. Many note the Crows have been poor in list-management decisions since he retired at the end of 2017, after his work culminated in Adelaide’s first grand final appearance in 19 years.

Stewart has been troubled by serious ill health this year, but his sharpness on managing an AFL list remains. His observations – not only of Adelaide but of the list-management methods at all 18 AFL clubs – are so strong for delivering focus amid the increased uncertainty in AFL football today while list sizes and the salary cap for 2021 and behind remain unresolved.

If everyone is going to have an opinion on Crouch, why would Stewart not be asked the question that from Monday is going to further dominate the start of Adelaide’s busy off-season?

“I’d retain Brad,” says Stewart. “We’ve seen in the past month what you get with Brad around the ball. He applies pressure on opposition midfielders; he creates lots of opportunities to get the ball going forward; he is pretty important to that midfield because he is a naturally fierce competitor.

“Who are you going to bring in to fill that role if Brad goes?

“And keep in mind how the two brothers (Brad and younger sibling Matthew) play so well when they are together in that midfield.”

As with Camporeale, Stewart has the proviso – no five-year contract, even if this will be required to stop Crouch using free agency to accept an offer from a Melbourne-based club, in particular at Carlton or Essendon.

“I would not give anyone a five-year contract,” said Stewart. “Look at how players lose their edge when they get those long-term deals.”

Stewart regards Crouch as a critical player in turning Adelaide from the wooden spooner to a premiership challenger.

“And you can turn around your fortunes quickly… if you know what you are doing,” Stewart says.

A really good interview with the producer of the doco. Said his respect of the Crows went up during the filming and thought that there good people there (like Nicks) driving a culture that will eventually lead to success when we get the players.

That last sentence says it all.

Meanwhile Roo in the list management decisions look like this

Not just this site though.

Brad went to the market and the market valued him at a value where we get a third round compo pick. That is what we got, based on the contract (value) the Saints set.

Which tells us plenty of people in the industry who make list management decisions also don't value him highly.

Any reason you are deliberately being a knob Mutineer? I posted a link to a good podcast and summarised a bit on the Crows they spoke about.
Means SFA until any of it translates to the void that is continued on field success...it's just fairy floss just like Sloane's ridiculous talk this week.

We have only just turned over the off field departments, I don’t remember ever hearing this stuff in 2018 or 19
Did you actually watch that Community Series game against Powa?

Did it give you a warm fuzzy feeling or something?

Witches hats was the very common theme in most people's eyes that watched that game.

And what do you think your mate Brad would've added to that shit show.....

I'll give you the tip, not as much as you think he would.
