Only positive thing to say is at least it’s not BLK, Castore or ISC. Simple, unimaginative stuff should be O’Neil’s tagline though, 3 years of pretty much the same designs on and off field and don’t crap on about tradition they already broke with tradition by continuing the thinner hoops designs from the early 2000s.

One day I’d love to see thicker/less hoops return, even a step away from the yellow cuffs to all navy would lead to a cleaner design.

I wonder if we will extend with O'Neills, 2023 is last year of contract.
we've never extended with any supplier, at least not since adidas in the 90s.

I imagine they will, given O’Neill’s business model and relatively basic style they’re cost effective, also don’t think they take any merchandise % and they deliver their products pretty much on time from Ireland, that’s all that matters in manufacturing sports club apparel at the moment especially given the current climate with all sorts of delivery issues and what other teams like West Coast have dealt with.

Very true point. But a Fagan deal as he had ties with them.

Strongly disagree.

1998 vs 2023. Ones a classic, one just doesn't look right.

I see both sides of the coin but I lean towards "Why can't collars just be collars?"

I get the whole "let the manufacturer much around with it" line of thought, but also... why? The collar goes all the way around, why not just make it yellow? I feel like an old man yelling at clouds but jeez, who's sitting there like "Yep, that front panel being navy just really pops it"? It reminds me of the ugly yellow shoulder pads that we nearly won a flag in. It's just unnecessary.

I thought O'Neills' first crack at it was perfection. Traditional collar, buggered off the white keyline on the numbers. The best we'd looked in 20 years. If they really need to "make their mark" on our stuff, they can go mad with the off field gear. Get crazy with the training kits, roll out some cooked media polos.

In the grand scheme of things, I do totally agree this is bottom 1% stuff. And it's almost certainly just a subtle method of pointing out to those wearing 2022 kits "Your jumper is old my dude. Time to upgrade." I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, it's just annoying that it was perfect and they had to fiddle with it. At least we don't have to worry about winning a flag in it.

Some pretty successful sporting clubs have managed to survive guernseys that change design over the years.
I’m all for keeping the home jumper sacred, just don’t think the collar matters. It’s a small detail that changes all the time.

No issue unless it’s something stupid like the Reebok bib, or the fake collars of 2017.

Any one know that NxP have an AFC (/AFL) range?

As much as I dont like the logo I like the look of this.. a streetwear range that isnt so gimmicky like most merch. More inline with the US model of merch

Yep. It’s beautiful.
