If Burton gets the sack tomorrow would that be enough for us to move on from this year and look towards 2019?
I'm willing to give it a try

Nope ... media will then be on to captaincy, then when they've hounded that one to death, it will be something else. They have to keep printing stuff in the hope something will stick.

I just wish AFC off field leaders would make us a smaller target by actually doing something ... I dont know like maybe actual leading.

And screw the soft cap and throw the farm at Neil Balme

Holy hell one of AFL legends just a puppet for Roo. How embarrasing ,it was skin crawling especially when trying to say Burton had nothing to with CM and the camp. When he brought CM group to club and was put up to press conference to explain and in his case lie and try to cover.

Roo's puppet?

In the very next breath Carey was devaluing Gov saying if he doesn't want to be there just get him out the door like there's a fire sale going on. If Carey was doing any favours for Roo he killed that off immediately by giving the impression AFC should just get rid of Gov. None of this hanging out for a great deal because of how good Gov is/will be. Be happy to be rid of him. How in anyway known does that help Roo?

That doesn't fit the 'Roo's puppet' theory at all.

That's been my conspiracy theory for a while. Gov was never going to make Otto an unlucky out from a prelim win. He felt he was right to go, selectors didn't care. I loves me my conspiracies, especially if they pot our selectors.
Nah it was to do with him being sore in the hammy for a few weeks, he had brought it to the clubs' attention but they kept playing him because we've gotta go 100% all the time. When he got picked in the dead rubber rd 23 match he got pissed off, then did his hammy a week or 2 later. Believes if he'd had a rest it wouldn't have happened & he might be right. And we might have won the GF if he'd been playing. Whilst I can understand his disappointment it seems a bit of an extreme reaction.

Missing a grand final due to incompetence and mismanagement?

I’d be absolutely ropeable if that was me - if that was the catalyst, I don’t blame him.

Players can go their entire career without playing in a Grand Final, let alone winning one. Though he'd probably be making not playing in one a certainty if he wants to go to Carlton.

He got a rest between round 23 and the GWS final. He had 85% TOG in the first final. He did the hammy at training on the weekend between GWS and the PF.

Something's not adding up. Was he pissed off because he was carrying a hammy that didn't seem to bother him against GWS, or pissed off that he didn't get to sit out the dead rubber match?

Yeah I don’t believe this nonsense

He misses r23 and he potentially plays 18 August, then GWS on 7 Sept then Geelong 22 Sept. the big talk was not going too long without games which is why we didn’t rest players against West Coast
