This is shit. I thought it would be an actual episode, or atleast half of one instead of them just talking about doing a reunion...

Pffft. Watch the series. It is a slow burning story arc over the season. Typically shit effprt from nine to screen it like that.

Terrible effort from 9 to advertise it like that, especially seeing as there are another 3-4 episodes to come with the Seinfeld cast in it. They were altogether in a scene for maybe 45 seconds of screen time.

Really typical of Nine. The whole thing was advertised as 'SEINFELD REUNION', then in tiny little letters 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'.

Anyway, why cant they give this show a go and give Two and a Half Men a rest? They've seen with the Big Bang Theory that if you stick in there and persist, and allow viewers some continuity in viewing, the ratings will improve.

I'm keen to get into Curb, it has that Arrested Development mock-documentary style feel to it, but cant afford the boxsets nor the bandwidth. Oh well, I'll add it to the 'eventual' list.

What the hell happened? I didn't see any advertising about what was on tonight. Nothing in the guide. I just happened to flick it on 9 at the end basically to see Jerry and Meg Ryan talking to Larry then the closing credits. What was it supposed to be?

Curb Your Enthusiasm...

It shouldn't be built up as the Seinfeld reunion that's for sure.

Great work by Channel 9 :thumbsu:

While they're still on a roll, maybe they could flog tonight's episode of Two & A Half Men as a Hot Shots re-union.

Come on 9, you know you want to.

If Nine showed the movie Hot Shots you can bet they'd mention in the ads it has 3 of the TAAHM cast [Charlie,Alan and Herb]

Unlike 2.5 Men and Big Bang Theory, curb your enthusiasm is actually a really funny show, yet they treat it like absolute shit and give us nothing but crappy sitcoms with laugh tracks to make their unfunny predictable jokes seem humorous:rolleyes:

CYE is a very funny show but it doesn't have the mass appeal of those other sitcoms and would do terribly if Nine put it in prime time.

Besides it'll be on GO! for those who want to watch it.

That's just ridiculous...

Why bother? And I know that they started Nip Tuck's 5th season on Go at the 3rd episode and Curb Your Enthusiasm missed the first episode of the 6th.

When I heard Nip/Tuck was on go, I was assuming it would be old seasons. Not surprised that they ****ed it up despite having new episodes. Will wait for the DVD, thanks.

It was strange seeing Larry David as the resident 'George' character opposite Jason Alexander playing himself. I've watched a bit of Curb and can appreciate the show but I think billing this as the 'Seinfeld re-union' is a bit misleading. Larry still has the same foibles as George and to a lesser extent Jerry but Curb is way darker and focuses more on why he's like that.

Yeh that was the best part with neurotic Larry doing a "george" with the whole tip thing. It's exactly the kind of petty thing George would have done.

Well, the only reason they aired it is to get the Seinfeld fans in. So, yeah, it's misleading. And a slap in the face to Curb fans who could never rely on the network to ****ing air the show.

The sad thing is that a few people at work watched it because they were Seinfeld fans, and they enjoyed it. And there are so many better Curb episodes that they'll probably never see.
