Cyril Rioli or Lewis Jetta

Cyril but Jetta is on the rise.
I'd take Cyril, as he has the premiership pedigree but you couldn't go wrong with Jetta. He was incredible today.

Rioli without a second thought
Tough call. Cyril has a bigger bag of tricks. But Jetta seems to have found some consistency and has a fantastic work rate. I like both, can't choose.

They are actually different types of player playing different roles. You'd back Rioli contesting a ball on the ground any day of the week and he is incredibly clever in traffic.
Jetta is far more of an outside player, and he's playing on a wing, rather than in the forward line. His long kicking has become very consistent and very accurate, and I think he might be a tad quicker than Rioli, though I think Rioli might be able to run him down over the first few steps if he was close enough to start with.

Jetta averages 15.8 disposals to 14.3 for Cyril.
Jetta averages 2.4 goals to Cyrils 2.2.
Cyril averages 3.9 tackles to Jetta's 3.2.
Jetta averages 5 inside 50's to Cyrils 3.4.
Jetta averages 3.1 goals contributed to Cyrils 2.9. (Goals contributed is average goals + average goal assists.)
On this I would have to take Jetta. More of the ball, has more goals and assists more goals and can pump the ball inside 50 with forward pressure. Cyril is a good player no doubt but Lewis is rising up the charts rapidly.

At the start of the year it would have been Rioli in a no contest but Jetta has been great for us this year. Exactly what we needed, a line breaking, ball carrying, goal scoring midfielder and most importantly someone who consistently does this. Jetta does. Cyril is probably the better player and will retire the better player, so I'll admit it's a one-eyed view.
Jetta has had better games this year than today because Picken was all over him in the 1st half. Hopefully Jetta can learn to handle the tag and not struggle as Stephen Hill did last year.

Jetta has been a massive mover and shaker this year. Would be AA material at a Vic club. Right now the only thing Rioli has on him is aerial work.

Sydney could have had both! They chose Vespremi (pick 11?) just before Rioli was taken by the Hawks!

Jetta could end up their best return from a first round pick given Sydney's track record. IIRC they got his pick from the Jolly trade with Collingwood.
So you want us to get back to you when Jetta is as overrated as Rioli is?

Tough, depends what position, they play different positions for starters. Rioli is your perfect forward, whereas Jetta is a gun wingman. If I had to choose one, I would pick Rioli for MY team
