Re: OGs v OC, The Junction is a very large ground for OGs and I think they will go straight through. They are very good at moving the ball around and delivering long to what is a potent and diverse forward line. If Parton is in fact injured then such a result will be even more likely. I haven't checked the weather report, but someone suggested that it might be a slog, in which case OC might be more of a chance with their stronger bodies around contests. Ultimately, however, I will stick with OGs.
Re: Yarra v Rupo, I think that Rupo will enjoy the open spaces of what will be a large ground. Wet weather may make the Drew bros and Hancock, if played in middle, major weapons for Yarra. Keem and Le Cordier might also be damaging for Yarra, whether in wet or dry. From the two times I saw Rupo play this season, I think that Brennan for Rupo could potentially shut down Le Cordier. Not sure who could shut down Keem and/or Hancock, but I think if that can be achieved then Rupo's offensive running game should win out. I'll go for Rupo, although with a few reservations!
I'm still pumped about our (Prahran's) effort in avoiding relegation despite one of the worst starts to a season in VAFA history. As a player, I am so proud of everyone within the club, and especially the coach. Well done Staf- you deserve a lot of credit for the way you kept us all together against horrible odds. I love ya mate! Thanks to everyone else who was involved too....
