My mate from aquinas works with bobetic in the force who won there b&f, said he is retiring-super player n nice guy, a 19 yr old who was run up b&f winner signed with some efl div 1 club, name was sengh or sumfin? thain and payne apparently departing the club, Nothing said about ross,he is a big key to them, shut down some key players this year so prob staying..RFS salesian may loose a bit with some of these keys out im presuming unless players are coming in, have a coach who mite play which will benefit..Thats all i no..just wondering people's thoughts on steven tibb, ash naulty...aquinas will be a big chance this year, n have a lot of good young kids..Cheers :thumbsu:

Tibba is a key to Aquinas team, he pretty much won them the final last year with kicking a few goals late in the game, was firing early in the yr untill injured. Youve mentioned ash in the last couple of posts is this you ash? LOL in all seriousness he is a good young player who is still eligible to play under 19s this year, will be given more opportunities playins seniors and did only just miss out on the state squad last year so hopefully a big pre season and a big year is awaiting him!!

Interesting post by someone in the best local FF's thread elsewhere in BF. This is the guy Werribee Ammo's have apparently picked up.

"no doubt in the world that perry meka has been the best full forward i have seen he is a machine.

to add to that he has a carrer tally of 2885 goals in a senior carrer which has lasted 24 yrs that is an average of 120 goals a yr.

he also kicked 149 goals in 2006 at 41 years of age

best i have ever seen"

Don't count on him being a great team man though. From what I hear causes a bit of a division at every club he and his entourage go.

not sure about that superfly...

just about everywhere he goes something good for the club happen
that is finals football or premierships

That being said, would you turn him away from your club if that were the case?
Perhaps not. He certainly is a great full forward, but he does polarise opinion. Not sure how he would fit into the ammos anyway as $$$ have always played a big part in where he plays his footy.

So super you must know him or have had something to do with Perry in the past or are you being informed by players and officials from clubs that pez has kicked bags of goals on. Because from what i hear from people from the clubs that he has played at is that he is an absolute gentleman who puts back whatever he has recieved in terms of payments with bringing sponsor's, fundraisers etc. Looks like the boys at Werribee might have picked up a gem!

Point taken bannet. Have to admit that I'm just repeating what I've heard from others. I'll eat humble pie and do more research in the future. In any case if Werribee have the midfield to deliver then Perry will kick the goals so from that point of view good pick up.

little do u no superfly that the man in question has not played for the dollars for a couple of yrs now.....he is giving back to the game that he loves and that has been good to him for the past 24 yrs

think I've been suitably humbled on this one

Are La trobe still in D2? Anyone know if they're going to be competitive tis season? Is Deano Sheldrick still the captain?

I would have to agree that marinis is as dark as ever.

Districts had first training session of the new year last night down at the beach. very good session. mini triathlon of sorts with a run and board session mixed with some light skills.
Some very fit looking blokes burned it up most noteably new boom recruit steve bracchi. would have to be the fittest 6ft6 bloke going around. good luck to the ruckmen of d2

Way way off track eyes- Ammos would be the last to go, as they have the best grounds(courtesy of schools), the ability to use other nights/ days if required, and the best infrastructre; IF worst came to worst i can see all the old school sides, plus the suburban ones with good grounds, running their own comp. but it wont get to that
