D4 D4 2009 Part 2

If that rumour about Old Ivanhoe and Ivanhoe are true will that mean that only the top 2 teams go up from d4 not the top 3 as first thought?
i think your maths is out- it would actually create an extra spot higher up, which would prob save Monash Gryphons, but may end up with Richmond or South Mornington promoted

If you take 3 teams up and drop 1 back that will then give you a 12 team D3 grade and a 10 team D4 grade.

There is quite a list of ex afl guys who are past students so this is quite a possible.

Correct me if im wrong but didn't they use to be associated with d3 ivanhoe a few years back??

Bigwaz where they just looking to play at KB or train there also.

Definately play, and perhaps both. We weren't having a bar of it anyway.

Going to be interesting to see how NB playing list on the weekend differs from there final rounds team list!! Rumor from within the La Trobe camp is that any injured ones players coming back into the side will be pencilled in to the ressies to counter brunny if they stack.

Have latrobe gone off the boil a little in the past few rounds? Certainly their reserves aren't anywhere near what they were in first half of the season, going by scorelines anyway.

La trobe havn't gone in with a full side for a few rounds leaving those injured out to be available for the finals, but now that finals r on they will have a full list available for selection. Many ones players will be coming back (3 or 4) in for latrobe meaning the ones they replace will be put in the twos.

I think only 3 blokes who played ones last week down at NB are eligible for the 2's anyway, and 2 of them have played all bar the last couple in 2's (going up to fill in for some injuries).

Good post half wit.

North Brunswick aren't even playing La Trobe this week so your rumour is typically well off the mark.

NB ressies play Kew this weekend. Latrobe ressies have the week off.

What a stupid post all teams have 2's players playing 1's to cover injuries would you prefer us to leave these players out altogether. You give kew no chance of beating nth this week ?, from what i saw on the weekend this will be a tough encounter so why don't you wait to see who you will be playing first before making comments.

First time poster, be kind! I will not hide behind a username; I'm the Pres of NB. Interesting stats you should know, 63 different players have played 2's this year with 53 playing 1's. This being my 6th year as pres I can categorically state that I have never stacked a second side. We are building a club down Brunswick way and the quickest way to kill the atmosphere would be to stack. If anyone can show me any evidence of stacking over the last 6 years other than hearsay, I’ll shout your entire club a beer! Now if know one can or will not put their money where their mouth is, maybe these statements will cease. Good luck one and all on the weekend

RC haven't played at NB in 3 years. Maybe next year mate?

Gee when they find out at the toss of the coin (team exchange of lists) I suspect it might be a fraction late?

THE EYE
:p

PS How do NB stack if a player is eligible anyway??

Rumour mill is that they have ex-AFl players ready to go. It'd be a HUGE suprise if they were run of the mill.

No benefit to the cometition, or to the grade for them to come in & just kick A. I'm not sure how the VAFA see it though.

shane crawford, to play a few games like he did for mansfield this year. The original idea was to make it a real old boys club from starting in 2010, trying to get billy brownless involved some how and maybe even neil daniher to coach. they were looking for a ground around the ivanhoe - bulleen area after the mergerer with ivanhoe afc fell apart

Pretty sure i did say LTU will be waiting to see what NB are up to this weekend ;)

from kew, keeping in mind that votes are given for finals, will be out of bell, bagnall and fultheim i would have thought.

comp B & F. the onballer from north brunswick will be up there (#6 i think...jeffrey)

Adam Jeffrey and Robbie Santacroce will duke it out for the B&F at North Brunny I'd say. Robbie may have yet another runners up trophy - he's had a great year again but Jeffrey has been sensational.

Horne to make a late run with a big late August / September....

just a quick question..... i was playing div 2 seniors in the wrfl this year at a club that made finals... Am thinking of playing next year in D4 if a relative gets the coaching job at a certain club... was wondering what people think of the standard of footy between div 2 wrfl and d4... or the stadard between d2 & d4 as i have a fair idea that d2 is alot better standard of footy than div 2 wrfl... Cheers
