Cannot agree more with your comment! I was on the end of both types of wins and floggings from Richmond and the beauty of our game is that there are those that persist, those that bask in the glory and shit on those that in the place of where they once were and those that are starting the journey!! This just represents a chance for the top 6 to get up a grade and hopefully, one day meet you again Waz and kick your arse!!

Scotch and coke, number nine and the key board warrior ruck machine - really, really?? If you have beaten RC and then been flogged by them then your club has been in the middle of Div 4 for too long! (And no need to answer ruck machine, your club defiantly has and again is going nowhere) - maybe all of you should ask BigWaz for some tips! RC clearly doing things your clubs aren't at the moment!!

So should Richmond have been further relegated to a customised Div 5 graveyard.

Like I said, of these 5 clubs, one took topof the ladder cCanterbury to a point, are new to the league, masala, new club, only going to improve, Mt.Lilydale rebuilding from clubbies and could surprise a few, only going to get better. Sth.Mornington are rebuilding from thier relegation, they will bounce back. Chadstone have thier battles, but front up everyweek.

Waz, 2 years ago, Northern Blues finished 6th out of 11 sides and fell into the finals. You should know them well. They beat your mob in a grand final.

At the start of that same season, they got flogged by triple figures regularly.

Anything can happen. Afford these clubs the same right that was afforded to yours.

Now take your bat and ball

TT lucky both grand finalist go up a Div in the VAFA - your club will find that out when you make one!

Maybe forget the cricket and focus on the football??

I'm not saying clubs should fold, as many others have said in the past. I'm saying that the standard has dropped.

I don't think that there's anything that can be done to even out the competition, apart from hope that it's not as lopsided next year.

We heard you the first time mate and how did Ruck Machine get dragged into this lol ?. The point is Bigwaz only drops in to remind us how poor our grade has become since Richmond moved up to the lofty D2 grade.

Don't worry about us cosmos. Whilst we might not have reached the lofty heights of your mob, we also haven't hit the lows either.

Keep that in mind that your club was there and be humble before coming in here and being arrogant ****heads.

What's your point? That I shouldn't comment on the quality of the division? I think it's important, which is why I bother. We should all be trying to create higher quality competition for everyone.

Liked comment = you agree therefore involved!
Fair point but "keyboard warrior" is a bit over the top for a simple like. Also funny that you continue to hide behind your BF alias ... everyone knows exactly who I am and I'm happy to back up anything I say online In real life. Can you say the same?

To answer Big Waz's question about the quality of D4. No Hawthorn or West Brunswick this season so you can easily argue that the quality has dropped. No clear stand out teams this season IMO.

My point is how many D4 games have you watched this year , you come on here without knowing anything about the teams yet make comments about the standard and quality dropping both in this grade and therefore the comp ?. If you have watched any games and have a constructive comment to make i'm all ears.

Don't disagree, but bigwaz was calling for change. If the bottom 10-11 sides are in Div 4 then that's the idea isn't it?

I haven't seen any games, you've got me on that. I'm basing my assessment in the fact that the previous years D4 sides are belting all the new comers (and chadstone) by 100+ point a game, week in and week out. That can't be a coincidence.

As Table Tennis stated before other than Chadstone who you have to respect for getting 2 sides up every week, the rest are relatively new and establishing clubs. The scores don't reflect the effort by these sides and you also have to factor the improvement in the top six sides. Ruck Machine hit it on the head, it's an even comp with no standout flag favourite at this stage which is a pleasant change from previous years.

There is a definite gulf between the top 6 and the bottom, but it's clearly an anamoly rather than the norm. As said by others, those teams on the bottom at the moment may end up on top within a year or two.

Maybe it's not that the quality has dropped but actually that those mid range teams like Manningham, box hill, point cook & north brunswick have actually improved this year??

Being out on the field against these sides, I would say they have.

Would it be better for the Ammos to do the D4 fixture after, say, first 5 rounds and have it so the lower sides play each other more often. After 5 rounds you would have a pretty good idea who is struggling and who is competitive. The benefit would be closer games (less 200 point drubbings). Shouldn't be too hard to accommodate clubs who want to schedule social functions for particular dates. This format would be unique to D4 where relegation is not possible.

I like your thinking gatorboy but you may then have one of the lower teams making finals at the expense of a better team. I know it's tough for some clubs but you'd want to get there on your merits ?.

By far the 3 oddest things i have ever seen in D4 include:
WB reserves losing the grandfinal last season and WB seniors winning over Hawthorn (both losers were dominant undefeated ladder leaders)
AND
NB beating hawthorn by 10 goals in that final when Hawthorn finished on top and smashed them by over 100 that season
