It's based on a real cease and desist letter from The Big Texan™'s lawyers to Jack Ruby's. Both Tex and his lawyers believe that Tex Walker is his legal name and therefore he has the exclusive rights to it. It was discussed back here when it originally happened. This is BS right?
Taylor Walker took the name "Tex" from that 90's TV show, Walker,Texas Ranger starring Chuck Norris,he has no more claim on that name than I do!

Maybe they'll sue me for plagiarismThe original letter below:
I loved the response by Travis Boak:
Jack Ruby also sells the “Travis Boak’s Pulled Pork & Slaw Burger”, which is marketed heavily on Port Adelaide home games. Boak’s manager, Tom Petrono, told The Advertiser the Power captain, who owns a share in The Moseley Bar & Kitchen at Glenelg, had “no concerns with Jack Ruby using his name to promote a burger on their menu”. “Travis sees it as a fun way to engage Port Adelaide supporters heading into Adelaide Oval and a way of continuing to build the footy culture that has become synonymous with the city on AFL game days,” he said.

LEGAL LETTER FROM TAYLOR WALKER’S LAWYER
3rd June, 2015
The Manager
Dukes Corporation (SA) Pty Ltd
Trading as Jack Ruby Bar and Diner
Basement, 89 King William St
Downtown Adelaide, SA, 5000
Dear Sir or Madam,
We write in reference to your recent menu and social media activity in which you have been promoting your burger entitled the “Tex Walker Burger”.
It is our contention that the naming of this product and it’s related promotion and advertising breaches Australian Consumer Law, specifically Competition and Consumer Act 2010, (Cth) Schedule 2 section 29 as it makes a false representation that the burger has the sponsorship, approval or affiliation of Mr Walker. The act prohibits businesses from making such false representations in connection with both the supply and promotion of goods and services.
We believe that people will be under the impression that Tex Walker has supported, endorsed or is affiliated with your product.
We further believe that this activity also constitutes that tort “passing off” as the use of Mr Walkers name on the burger and in the promotion of the burger creates a false belief in the minds of consumers that there is a business connection between Mr Walker and Jack Ruby Bar and Diner and that he has approved the product being advertised.
Whilst, flattered that you have an obvious passion for both the Adelaide Crows and our client, we respectfully ask that you undertake to rename the burger by the middle of June and cease promoting it immediately as it puts Mr Walker in breach of an existing relationship which he has entered into.
Please give these undertakings by signing below on each letter and returning to my office. We will accept delivery via a scanned copy to the email address sharper@elitesports.com.au and return of the originals to Level 4, 543-549 Bridge Road, Richmond, VIC 3121.
Yours sincerely

I'll admit that I had to have the "Tex" nickname explained to me but was Chuck's character in "Walker, Texas Ranger", Cordell Walker, actually nicknamed "Tex"?I wonder if the legal department of Chuck Norris are aware that some big eared, big mouthed clown from Adelaide is directly profiting from the use and promotion of that name?

Do people in Texas really call each other "Tex". I worked with a couple of Texicans and neither were nicknamed "Tex".
I would have thought that a boy from Broken Hill with the surname Walker would more likely be called "Johnnie" or "Lukey". Even "Murray" would make more sense. The Chuck Norris character is Cordell Walker:
Alternate Names:
Capt. Ranger Cordell Walker / Ranger Cordell Walker / Young Cordell Walker
In the unimaginative way of Aussie nicknaming, "Tex" must have come from The Cruel Sea muso of that name. I wonder if Taylor Walker has even heard of him.
How has this thread turned into T Walker?.
I have high hopes for Houston it's just kinda strange that we have Snelling and a mature ager we just picked up (Leinert) and neither have been given an opportunity to fight for a list spot. They are both older and way more accomplished at this point. Houstons only played 3 or 4 competitive games in defence.Remember Jarrad Irons? Starred in a bunch of pre season games, got promoted off the rookie list, played the first three games, got dropped and was never heard of again.
With that being said, may Dan Houston's Port Adelaide career span a little bit longer than a month
I really like that Houston was given a chance and he's really grabbed it - and he's been rewarded. He deserves a crack at round 1. Bad luck for those other guys but it's up to them to force their way into the team on performances. It's healthy. Just hope they are consistent in rewarding performances and dropping blokes who aren't performing, regardless of their statusI have high hopes for Houston it's just kinda strange that we have Snelling and a mature ager we just picked up (Leinert) and neither have been given an opportunity to fight for a list spot. Good point, but I did find it ironic that one of the biggest culprits for posting crow related shit calls out a thread for posting crow related shit
I remember chatting with him at one of the Women in Power functions. Nice kid. Son of a then WA politician.Hell yeah I do!

Just in: Dan Houston getting congratulated on his upgrade by a former club legend.
