Snelling is hugely important to the club. Will easily be part of our starting midfield once guys like Boak and Robbie retire.
Or maybe before retirement of some of these players. I really hope he gets a chance. Selection should be based on recent performance and not past reputations

Lol, still a very very long way for him to go before he approaches the kind of output Gray and Boak produce at AFL level.

Being given an opportunity at some stage will get him part of the way there. Yet to look anything but impressive with every opportunity he has been given in any game.

I think we need to start separate categories for Gray and Boak. Gray elite. Boak is three years past elite. Hope I am wrong.

I hope Houston gets his chance. Deserving and smart defender with solid disposal

I'm very aware of that, the point I'm making is I hope the coaches don't keep playing underperforming midfielders at the expense of others. The opportunity SPP and Atley have had in the jlt is a good sign. And I wasnt referring to Robbie, he's one of a kind.

Tom Jonas dislikes this post. I've got my melts ready for when Austin, Clurey and Pittard are all fit and Mr. 'What do you mean a defender has to do more then just negate now?' is still picked by Ken.

SPP was a high draft pick, so although obviously pleasing to see him be a man-boy like Wines, he hasn't been the revelation Houston has been. Our inability to clear defence, with our poor disposal, makes his pinpoint passing the highlight of the pre-season to date for me.

Don't forget: club man toughness presence experience leadership
or any other spin to justify bias and favouritism. Let the facts and stats speak for themselves both for the player and their oppo.

Houston has been good and I had no idea he was the talent I believe he is now but games are won at stoppages by strong midfielders.

SPP was not a high draft pick. SPP would go top 5 in the draft if people knew then what they know now. That makes him a revaluation to most of those who went over him at least.

You and I both. Watched him run around for the Maggies last year and thought "meh... is that Houston or Hewitt" number 43 or 44
used to get them mixed up. Thought he'd just pass thru' the system and end up at another sanfl club.
Hang on a minute a text has just come thru'. Houston upgraded.....bah knew it all along......formality

Houston genuinely started to show signs after about mid year last year. It's excellent to see he has kept to the trajectory so far.
LIFT OFF oh and for Dan as well. To Brett Eddy and Dan well done and congratz good move by the club. :thumbsu:'s all round.
Both will make our team better at either end.

I see what you did there. :p

Well done Tex, full respect to you.

Born leader and love his composure.
