He could have just asked for a trade and stayed in the game though
He did the year prior.

There's some truth to our squad still being far too young.I cant understand why we cant try Curtin up forward.
We probably have Tex retiring at the end of the year.
We have Himmelberg out the door.
We probably will delist Gollant after never giving him a fair crack at it.
Burgess is out of his depth.
Borlase is not a forward.
There's a massive big hole up there that we need to fill but the coaches cant see it
What a wasted year of development for one of our brightest talents

Why do we always play our midfielders on the HFF for then? This doesnt make much sense to me. There needs to be a coherent plan for what the kid ends up as, then take actions to develop him in that direction. Giving a kid who you want as a midfielder game time off the back flank or wing for experience makes sense. Lets get him in the side back there.
Filling holes up forward with a kid because he's tall isnt helping him.
I would just want to see what he’s capable of playing his natural game instead of it getting sucked out of himWhy do we always play our midfielders on the HFF for then?
I don't think he will be a midfielder.
And I don't want our # 8 pick playing fullback either.
We have plenty of backman at the moment, we don't need more.
It's not about putting him forward because he is tall.
It's playing a talented kid to develop him to the best he can be and getting the best bang for your buck with a #8 draft pick
Why not try and develop his forward play and play to his strengths

Easy to find video on YT of Curtain playing back, wing and forward for Claremont during last year’s WAFL finals series. This doesnt make much sense to me. True, and no takers. He did the year prior.

On the video though, he’d have to improve to be better than draftee Max M, but he will never ever be within cooee of 17-18 yo Ben H.
Nicks said today in his presser that we would see Curtin in the midfield at some point this season, didn't realise it would be this quick!
Or.... the alternate non conspiracy theory as the club have never said he's a FB (he's played there a whole one game), they are experimenting with him in different positions throughout the season given his unique skill set (not many players come through the draft that are gun KPDs and midfielders). If True, maybe they have resigned the want to turn him into a FB and actually play him to his strengths. Maybe someone from the club has seen the rumours of him wanting out and thought, shit, got to fix this.

And if you get a chance to watch him play, keep an eye on his footskills - to my eye, he is an excellent distributor so him in the middle getting to get ball and send it inside 50 should be a treat for the forwardsWatch him get 30 touches like he did against North.
He was in the middle of the ground screaming at a teammate to pass him the ball at one stage last week. Very demonstrative, and not pleased! And if you get a chance to watch him play, keep an eye on his footskills - to my eye, he is an excellent distributor so him in the middle getting to get ball and send it inside 50 should be a treat for the forwards
yes, the SANFL is not a place to develop such a talentHe was in the middle of the ground screaming at a teammate to pass him the ball at one stage last week. Very demonstrative, and not pleased!
My nephew is playing in the first game for centrals so I will be thereAnd if you get a chance to watch him play, keep an eye on his footskills - to my eye, he is an excellent distributor so him in the middle getting to get ball and send it inside 50 should be a treat for the forwards
So glad he’s completed his defending course in quick time!
He is sure to get a few free kicksMy nephew is playing in the first game for centrals so I will be there
