We don't need to find one, we have one already in the making in Curtin. Its why most of us don't want to lose him full stop - not to trade up the order, not for a top 5 pick, nothing. We'd rather have him and what he can bring as he develops.
We will have either pick4 or 5 or 6 (if we finish above Saints and they get band 1 for Battle which I hope they don't).
Lets have a look at the players available at the top end.

One of the sides above the crows is extremely likely to take Trainor as the best KPP in the draft so one of the top mids will till be on the board so they will get one. Lukosius if he leaves and a deal with the crows is set up may end up being a F1 with something coming back, or a couple of 2nd rounders - that deal will should done without the crows 1st this year being brought anywhere near the conversation
The talk of him being a mid are only recent. He cut his teeth as a defender, and with a stint in the forward line.
If he transition into the midfield, then that's something additional.
He played midfield as a junior before going down back after a growth spurt in Year 11, and then returned to the midfield for significant minutes during the national championships. There was plenty of talk about him being a mid before he was even drafted.

Struggled early in the midfield but went forward and kicked 2, and also pushed up the ground for Marks. Looked his natural position.
How does a F2 for Curtin sound?
If he turns out to be Jack Watts 3.0, is dropped from the side because he doesn't fit with the new coaches gameplan, and people in the media are calling him.out for being lazy and a poor culture leader of the club, and getting nearly 1 mill a year with two years left on his contract, we may we'll look at that. It's going to be a pick around 23-24, so not too bad.
Sounds similar to the anguished cries of West Coast supporters as they're faced with the horrific reality of their club's future. Pretty terrible.

You forgot to add with 6 years of exposed form already in the system, not 1 like Curtin has

Sure, if Curtin isn't wanted and has a heavily backend contract for his last 2 years at $1M.

We have an early pick that should land Draper.
Most saying Lukosius worth a future 2nd with Suns wanting the cap space with his high salary to use on other priorities.

Yep.
He's a great young player who's surrounded by teammates who are supporting him and want to see him succeed. He's happy and contracted for the next two years on a rookie wage.
