I’m sure battle will be chuffed to stay at the saints after they have offered him unders all year while dangling him to the hawks only to change their mind after they have missed finals and don’t look likely to get band 1 compo

The deal might be agreed but the Suns have plenty of picks to work with that aren't pick 5. As others have mentioned, Rioli plays a position that is much easier to draft for than a KPP or elite midfielder. There is zero incentive for the Suns to give up pick 5 for Rioli.

I wouldn’t think pick 6 from the suns would be involved in a Rioli trade. They have plenty of other picks that would better suit his value.
